Having extensively reviewed a lot of other sellers with the doors that contain the hole to allow you to charge whilst either recording or just wish to charge without opening the door every two minutes, this certainly fits the bill.A lot of people on other reviews have put that the version has either overhanging joins or it doesn’t fit correctly. This one I can happily confirm that it fits perfect. You can see on the two photos that it does not overhang or look ill fitted.The only reason that I have not awarded it 5 stars is there isn’t that level of security you get with a GoPro original door. Don’t get me wrong it fits and locks and I’ve shook the camera about and it does not come loose but it just doesn’t click shut like the GoPro, to be expected I suppose.Comes from China and took a couple of weeks to come but more than happy and well worth it, judging by the reviews of all the others available, if you don’t buy this one then you run the risk of problems.Hope the review helps other.

This is what should have been in the Hero 9 as standard.Fits perfectly, opens easily but stays firmly shut in use. Better than the slightly cheaper plastic ones.I would like to see a grommet on the opening that allows a degree of weather protection. Clearly it can't be made waterproof but a rubber grommet could easily be made that closes the access opening.Many people will be using this to allow powering the Hero 9 from a power bank, a decent seal would make this less risky in wet weather.

Well made side door for the Hero 9 black, fits very nicely on the camera. I got this, for when I do Time lapse. The battery only lasted about 4 hours, so this door enables you to keep a charger connected to the camera with the side door securely locked, so you leave the camera running all night, 10 hours says.

It’s good that it is metal, not plastic. It does what it is designed to do.

Great item, essential for how I use my gopro. Cannot fault it.
