From the very start you get hooked into Micaden's Madness. As Micaden and Emerald's lives slowly come to life you start to understand the madness behind the man. You feel for Emerald throughout this one. She is one tough cookie and a survivor through everything that she is put through. Once you read this then you understand why I say that. Micaden is complicated and out for revenge. You will both love and hate the man he has become and the man he was. The trigger is Emerald and you really got to read this one. It's dark with a hint of light. If you love complicated with a bit of dark then pick this one up. If you have read any of V.F. Mason books before then you need to pick this one up. Just hold onto the ride that is Micaden and Emerald and enjoy every twist that comes your way.

Outstanding!In a nutshell, Micaden's Madness is tragically beautiful, much like Shakespeare, which the author quotes at the beginning of each chapter, Brochan and Emerald's story will break even the hardest heart. I loved the intricacies of the dual storylines and how Mason manages to bring it all together epically. Moral of this story, never assume you know the whole story until you hear it from the source.Be warned, this tale is told with flashbacks in order to supply all the background details, but I was captivated from the beginning. I loved visiting with some old friends and I will not miss another release from this author.

This was my first book by V.F. Mason. I had no idea what to expect but what I got was a whole lot more than I would have initially thought! I loved the suspense, the mystery, the unexpected twist or two I DID NOT see coming! I was shocked and literally had to stop reading so my brain could catch up! This was an amazing story full of ups and downs, twists and turns, villains and heroes, a strong heroine and a cast of characters I'm now dying to read about!V.F. Mason wove a web made up of tangled lies, betrayal and first love. I adored the writing and the author's ability to keep me pinned to the pages throughout the story.

As we're pulled into Emerald and Micaden's twisted, dark, evil, emotional world. There are many, many flashbacks and time changes to keep straight, also reality vs fiction issues. It's a suspenseful, tumultuous read full of secrets, danger, violence, passion, surprises, revenge, lies, terror, pain, degradation, despair, trauma, nightmares, justice, obsession, hate and love. This intense, disturbing tale will make you cringe, worry and hope for truth and retribution. It's a powerful, addictive story.

I am not going to talk about the story, because I don’t want to spoil anything, so I am just saying that I loved this book. Once I started reading I couldn’t stop.I have read a few book by this author and I love how she always surprises me with her twist and turn. I always have a “what just happened? But …” moment while reading.The characters are complex and layered and full of emotions.And I loved the Shakespeare quotes at the beginning of each chapter. There really fit the essence of that chapter. That is something that really adds to the reading experience.

I purchased this book because I read Psychopath’s Prey and gave it 5 stars. I enjoyed this book not as much as Psychopath’sPrey but I was never bored. I liked the characters and the story held my interest. I am not a fan of back and forth past/present books but for some reason this writer made that ok. If you like a more intense book where the romance isn’t flowers and rainbows I recommend this book. Loved the cover.

It's been awhile since I've read a book that broke my heart and this one did just that. My heart completely broke for Micaden and what could have been.The writing in this book completely grabs you from beginning to end because your trying to understand what happened and once you do, you wonder how can these two characters move past this because even though you may hate one or the other. You can't help but root for them.This book was an emotional rollercoaster for me, but I loved it nonetheless. I wish I could give it more than five stars! ❤️⭐

I loved Micaden/Brochan's story. And I was thoroughly surprised by the appearance of Lachlan and Arson and a few others!My heart broke for Emerald... what she endured, what was done to her, oh my, I can't believe she survived so much pain and heartache!V.F. Mason writes characters that you either love to love or love to hate, and sometimes a combination of both.

OMG wow what a book I bloody love this , dark , sick and absolutely sexy as hell with twists and turns that will leave you on the edge off your seat biting your nails I seriously couldn’t put this down
