Look, you can build your own absorption panels yourself but why deal with rockwool insulation and all the other hassle plus a good amount of time just to save $30 per panel? These are quality panels, the most affordable 4" depth that I could find (better for low-end absorption with the larger depth) and the mounting hardware that ships with them is very convenient. I hung these into plaster walls with the provided screws and hardware, not worrying about where the studs were, with no issue. I purchased eight of these total and installed in two different locations with no quality control issues whatsoever. Shipping costs are reduced the more panels you purchase so don't go off the items initial cost + shipping cost and think that's how much it will be in total. Add however many you need to your cart and check the final. With the WHITE fabric they show stains easier and are harder to keep clean so I would go with a different color for high-traffic areas and if you do get the white panels keep your hands clean when hanging them up or you'll absolutely have dirt showing where your hands were. I bought these with the intention of reupholstering with fancy designs if and when they do get dirty. One thing to note, these are wooden framed sides... therefore the sides of these will absorb less than some of the mesh framed panels from other manufacturers. For the price and quality I am very happy with them though.

great for the price. the material is stretchy, which I thought was sort of weird. Most basstraps are almost canvas-ey in feel. They definitely helped clean up the mud in my mix position though!

Very well made and that can't be stressed enough. I'm pretty handy and couldn't make these any better or as well to be honest so the price is more than fair. I did use 12" French cleat instead of the clips that came with but for an extra $12 on Amazon who cares. These make an immediate impact to take down the boomy bass but understand these are NOT sound proofing (my rabbit hole) highly recommend

Very impressive workmanship, covering is tight and they are strongly made. Arrived well packed in flawless condition. Each trap is a perfect rectangle and looks extremely professional. We mounted them high in two vertical corners to start and they strongly control the boom in the room. I expect to add two more but for now the room is much improved with the heavy drapes and wall diffusers. Outstanding results, great appearance. The shipping is expensive but actually worth it. The traps arrived in flawless condition during the holiday rush season.

I have ordered these panels several times. I have them in 2 recording studios and a vocal recording booth. I get constant positive comments on the sound enhancement and appearance. I love the material that they are covered with.

These great looking, well constructed panels are used as acoustic treatment in a listening environment.

The exterior walls in my house are plaster on block with brick exterior.A bad combo for standing waves.The Acoustimac Low Frequency panels really cleaned up the bass frequencys in my system allowing me to enjoy a nice tight bass response.Soundstage and imaging are greatly improved also!
