Best fencing staple puller!
I remember my dad puting in the fence 40 years ago. That was back when soaking your post for 3 months in a 55 gallon drum of used motor oil was how you kept your post from rotting in the ground. Well, i guess 40 years is pretty good for a fence post. I am finally pulling those staples that were sunk good and solid. I tried all the standard "go to" fencing tools, and even a couple different equestrian tools. Some worked on some staples. Some worked on others. This one, so far, has worked on every staple. Point the tip of the tool under the staple head, above the wire or below it, doesn't matter, beat the tool in and the staple comes out. If the tool gets tight, roll it to one side or the other and it comes loose. The only thing i would change to make it better would be add an inch to the handle so the sharpened chisel doesn't eat into your hands or gloves. I simply ground off the chisel to make a smooth radius. Much better for my use. Thanks for a verry well built, USA product.

Itโs small

Sharp point is easy to drive under embedded staple.
I am taking down a fence installed 40 years ago. Staples were extra long and rusty. This staple remover worked great. I would like to see a longer version of this Remover for these tough to remove Staples. It actually works better than the fencing pliers I have.

Does the job....
Been looking for this item for years as had lost my original. One of best staple pullers ever used.

farm woven wire fence removal
Its a good tool at a reasonable cost, and I have pulled a lot of farm fence staples of various ages and lengths with it. For longer staples, I have used a 16" length of 1/2" conduit as an extension to get enough leverage. you would have to be very strong to use the tool alone. the tip broke today. I ground it down and the tool is still usable but not as efficient - harder to get behind staples. my project is done. If I had more to do, I would buy this again.

It works great
I needed to take down a long stretch of fencing with many staples to be removed. I tried one of the combo fence pliers, but they couldn't get under the staples well and were just frustrating. This tool and a hammer made very short work of all of the staples. My only complaint is that the shank could do to be a but longer. In my larger hands, the end of the tool dug into my palm as I worked. It wasn't a big deal as I was wearing gloves, but it did wear a hole in the palm of my gloves. Otherwise the metal stood up to a lot of abuse and the shape made short work of removing even stubbornly deep staples or ones I foolishly placed right at ground level.

A unique item
I work with slate and I use this to pop holes in it were I need the nails to go. That use is off purpose to what it is advertised as but itโs perfect for the job. There isnโt any other item I can purchase that serves this use and if this would ever not be available I would be out of luck :(. Well itโs a piece of steel. A bit shorter than previous versions- not clear if this effects its performance.
