The coupler locks should be designated to fit particular trailers or RV's.
After the Rhino lock did not fit and I returned it, I decided to make this lock fit after finding out it didn't fit either. After purchasing a grinder cone to fit my drill, I had to grind off approximately 1/8" from the top lip an inch or so from the end back so it would go on smoothly. Works great now.

Needs trimming but works
Bought for 08 26ft travel trailer but like some others I also had to do some grinding to get it to fit. I found that the lock pin of lock did not have enough clearance to engage inside coupler due to the outside length of my 2-5/16" coupler of trailer, so I ground away a little off the front face of lip of trailer tongue to hopefully allow the pin to sit back further clearing the inside lip, I tried but it did`nt work so like someone else did...I used a block of wood and hammer then lightly tapped lock into place, seemed stuck at 1st but after lightly knocking it back off, then a couple of more install/removals it now slides on snug and easily locks(aside from having to lock/unlock from underneath), probably would be good idea to keep key hole lubed as most of us would`nt want the locking mechanism seizing up.I recently bought and tried using(but returned) one of the Curts similar style made of aluminum but if fit way too loose(plus both parts seemed to have some light unfinished edges on lock and keys) .this is easily heavier duty at about same price point. This lock is not a guarantee but it`ll slow someone up hopefully alot, it seems to be the better of the less pricier ones. The negative is that it required(s) some fiddling and grinding. But a thumbs up!

Not indescribable.. But what is.
Very well built, For the price you can’t get anything better. ANY tounge lock on the market is breakable just understand that before you make your decision.I have a cordless grinder and saw all that agrees with me.. If someone wants it they will get it.This product is slim and a good deterrent, Pair it with some other protection and you’ll be fine. For the price you get a good quality product, I can’t speak on the longevity of it since i’ve only had it a month, But it’s been on and off many times and in the weather, No complaints out of me. I will purchase another in 2” to see if the quality is the same

The lock doesn’t go that deep..
The lock was well built, and lightweight. The problem my head with this lock is that it does not accommodate The length of the steel on myTrailer. How therefore the locking pin will not engage. It would work fine for a medium or lightweight trailer. Mine is heavy duty. Great concept though. The only way I can see someone getting one office with a Sauzal..

May require slight "adjustments/modifications" to make it fit your hitch.
The coupler lock itself required slight grinding to allow it to fully seat and have the lock bolt engage properly. Hitches are generally steel stampings so this wasn't a huge deal to find that it didn't fit out of the box. The grinding was necessary to have the lock fit property or I would have had to send it back. Afterwards, the lock fits snug and is easy to operate. Simply slid it one and push the spring loaded lock cylinder up to engage, couldn't be easier. If it fit without the tweaking, I would have given 5 stars across the board.Just a heads up, that slight grinding or clearancing may be necessary. I'm sure doing so voids the warranty, so keep that in mind as well. If they want your trailer, they will get your trailer. The lock is a deterrent, not a guarantee.

So far so good, but.......
Once you install it, it blends in with the trailer, black on black. I am debating on painting this bright yellow or red... I want the would be thief to see it and move on to the next house. I like the bottom side key access it, and everything works as it should. Fits my Carry-on 5X10GW trailer, and I also use a coupler lock as well.
