Excellent beam spread and color temperature. Awkward form factor.
The only thing I found disappointing about this bulb was my own lack of understanding that MR20 is a larger projector diameter than the little GU10-base halogens provided with most common track lighting heads.Beyond form factor, this bulb has a wonderful warm color temperature, matching most 50w and 35w halogens and 20w xenons. Four different wattages of warm halogen light (this is around 2800K, +/-) on the same track provides the ability to bathe gathering areas like coffee or dining tables with this brighter bulb, art can be highlighted to glow from close range with lower wattage, and walls, corners, and walkways can be illuminated without detracting from the artistic highlights or human focal points of the space.This bulb is being used in combination with 4x 20w xenon, 5x 35w halogen, and a single vintage/Edison style LED, all controlled by a Lutron Maestro MACL-153M dimmer. The dimming characteristics are excellent, and the combination provides everything from bright work light to cozy mood lighting.

Perfect! Frosted bulb, clear lens
These have the frosted bulb inside but the lens is clear. I ordered about 4 different bulbs until I finally have the right one!

Great heat lamp
Use two of these bulbs to heat one end of a 2 foot high reptile tank. Works very well and keeps the temperature steady. Price is good compared to other sources,

Beware! Bulbs were med in a bubble mailer
They arrived so broken that some of the glass had nearly turned to dust. The plastic wrap around the bulbs had some that escaped on there so when I went to take them out of the package it got in my fingers. I should've known better to put my hand in it based on what the LIGHT BULBS in the BUBBLE MAILER sounded like when I picked it up. Yes, fragile light bulbs were mailed in a bubble mailer. Makes good sense, right?! Pretty aggravating when I have a bearded dragon that needs a bulb for heat since his went out earlier than expected.

Perfect lamp for Bearded Dragon
I use this lamp for a bearded dragon habitat, it is the perfect size for a single bearded dragon, keeps the lizard nice and happy, this is used in combination with a UV light.

Too wide
The diameter of the bulb is 2.5 inches, which is wider than regular GU-10 base bulbs. So if your appliance holds the bulb by the bulb rather than the base, make sure it fits before you order it. Otherwise, it is brighter, which is nice.
