I used these shears to cut my top layer of my hair to test out. For reference, my hair has been chemically damaged over the years and I am now growing out my natural hair. I cut off at least 4inches of brittle ends to freshen up my hair. It has been a little over a week since I cut my hair. Maybe I should have cut more of my top layer with these shears. There is a slight difference from my bottom layers compared to the top where i had used these shears. When cutting with these shears, I could cut a lot of hair at once which is nice. Feels like a sharp cut.I am not a professional hair stylist. I have cutting my own hair for many years now and notice that I have to replace a good pair of shears after about 5-6 full hair cut uses. These I have only used once and only on my top layer to test out. Overall, I feel these shears are great for the price. They cut sharp. There are of course better shears out there but for the price, these are really great! I hope that my review was helpful. Thank you very much for reading it!

This set includes a pair of scissors and one soft cloth. I guess the cloth is to wipe down the scissors. The scissors are sharp and open and close easily for easy cutting. I do have to tighten them periodically with the knob on front. It cuts well. I tried it on my boyfriend's hair. The finger holes are small on the scissor but that is to be expected. The scissors are a bit heavy, so that can be tiring if cutting a lot of hair.In summary, this pair works well.  The current price of $35.99 ($39.99 minus $4) is pricey but these are attractive and work well. I suspect that they can be sharpened since they are handmade from Japanese 440C steel. Since I am not a professional hairstylist, I cannot compare them to what is in a hair stylist arsenal.

Okay, I can't give a professional review of these scissors. I'm a retired teacher who always wanted to do hair after I retired. I had this crazy idea of doing hair on a tour bus traveling across the United States. I would stand at the front of the bus, so I could see all the beautiful scenery our country offers, and do hair for the people on my tour. Unfortunately, health reasons prevented that dream from ever happening, so I never learned to do hair. Much to my hairdresser's disappointment, I do pick up the scissors and cut on my hair in between haircuts, especially since the pandemic.That is why I decided to get some really sharp scissors so I wouldn't butcher my hair so much. My regular scissors chopped my hair, leaving it uneven and with gaps in it. I knew I needed real scissors to make more precise cuts and these scissors, Moontay 6 Inch Hair Cutting Scissors, are just that. They make very precise cuts and make me feel much more professional!! When I make cuts now, they are much better controlled and aren't so ragged.I really think they are beautiful!! The gold tone makes them look very expensive and the turquoise adornment is exquisite. They are certainly something special and I want to take care of them. For that reason, I am keeping them in the pretty, black box they arrived in. It is very strong and will offer the perfect protection I am seeking. I love the scissors and I highly recommend them!!
