This is the perfect replacement temperature probe for the Akorn Auto-Kamado when the original probe eventually breaks.

This thermostat was a little different from the original part. The length was about 3” shorter and the probe was significantly smaller. I was able to install the part, but had to cut the zip tie holding the wires together because of the length of the part. Grill is working well so far and keeping good temps.

Bought this once my Akorn Kamado temperature sensor started giving me issues. This was an excellent replacement but note that the hole it fits through needs to be widened.

It did happen to be much less that the OEM one from the manufacturers website but they would have taken 5 days to send and Amazon had this one to my door the next morning which gave me enough time to install it, (Which took about 10 minutes) to get all the meat in the smoker and have it ready before dinner. Just as good if quality if not better than the OEM one and I really like the warranty with the part, just overall really glad to get a good one on Amazon for a great price and a really good one at that. 1000% happy with it. Works great to replace the temp probe in the back of the Auto Kamado when it breaks. If you snip off the plastic part of the clip that doesn't hold it to the plug you can easily fit it through the existing hole in the grill.
