Can this serger do a coverstitch?

If it can I have not used that capability. I have a separate cover-stitch machine. It is an amazing serger though, especially worth the money if you have again eyes.

Does it have an automatic tension feature

The tension is not automatic. You need to adjust each thread dial for desired tension. It does have suggested settings on the screen making it a little easier than looking in a manual.
