My dog has very sensitive skin which is particularly irritated at the moment.This shampoo helped relieve some of her irritation and did not contribute further.She and I are both very happy with it.(At least she is as happy with it as she can be regarding the fact that she was forced to take a bath. She tolerates baths, but it is quite obvious she hates them. She looks at me like her best friend just betrayed her and wounded her for life by said betrayal. Like any dog, the moment the bath is over, she runs around like a joyous puppy rubbing her scent on carpets, everyone's bedding, me, etc. ...)Now, thanks to the shampoo she smells lovely. The shampoo has a light, delicate fragrance that thankfully does not bother my allergies. It is a winner!

It is good to know that this shampoo is free of parabens, sulfates, alcohol or artificial fragrances. I found that it lathers well. The bubbles are very tiny. They rinse off clean without feeling greasy or sticky. In the mean time, the coat is shiny and clean. The description says that the scent is chamomile and lavender. It is the same scent as one of the brands I used. Very smoothing though it goes away soon. Overall, this is a great mild shampoo that won't irritate the skin. If you dog has skin problems, this is a great choice.

I can't say anything about the shredding - we don't have shedding dogs and keep their hair cut. It does seem to help for a little while on the itchiness, especially for my allergy dog.
