Have had fun with these and it's brought Excitement.
I have put these Butterflys in Birthday Cards, Graduation and other Cards and they have been a Big Hit. I would Highly recommend them. Just make sure you read the Instructions on How Many Times you are Supposed to Wind them up as I didn't do that on the first time and they didn't work very well. However I made sure I did it correctly the 2nd time. A lot of fun if you get to see the person open the card. I have had a lot of questions on where I purchased them at, etc.I recommend them.

These are fun
They are plastic and I bought them to put into gift packages but we are having so much fun with the grandkids and cats they might all be broken before they get used for what they were intended. Like I said they are plastic and if you overwind they do break.

The metal ones did not work.
The plastic one worked, would suggest that you try before the person you are surprising does, that way you can find out which way works the best.

they have to be wound a LOT in order to fly a little
these are definitely cute little things, but they really don't fly very well. They fly better when they are wound up very tightly, but not very high or far... mostly just a quick burst of flutter, then they glide to the floor. They appear to be well enough made for what they are and will probably be amusing for the group of kids they were purchased for, so I won't return them. The aerodynamic design needs improvement, but they are a decent little toy for a stocking stuffer. no real regrets on purchasing them.

The kindest and prettiest practical joke!
These are so fun! I love giving people a delightfully frightful surprise with these. I sneak them in cards, books, gift boxes, and just about anywhere I can. Cracks me up every time, and once people are over the initial fright, they love the butterflies.

Garbage in Garbage out - thats all you need to know
The idea of wind up fluttering paper butterflies sounded great. They just are not any good. They dont fly, they thrash about for a couple of seconds. They are cheap and break immediately. If you ever had a balsa wood wind up glider you will be disappointed in these butterflies.

Make sure to twist 25 times!
When I first started using these they only worked ok, then I read the instructions and saw that you have to twist them 25 times before putting them in a book. Work amazing after I finally smartened up and read the instructions!

They really fly !
Everyone loves the butterflies ! Placed in a closed in a box with a gift for a co workers retirement celebration. These were like a gift in and of themselves !!!

Only one colour arrived. Poor quality
Quality is poor thin paper. I ordered a few dozen and they all arrived in one colour.
