I wasn't sure how thrilled I'd be with this purchase, but I must say...I'm very well pleased.Although there are several other quality cages available for the GH5, I didn't want to break the bank and found this package included more than those others (specifically, the top handle, rails, and rail mount). The overall size is nice and compact, and the build quality is durable with tight connections. The handle secures tightly onto top of the cage, and the cage itself offers several 1/4" threaded holes for mounting various accessories.The cage openings allow ample access to the battery pack, SD cards, HDMI port, and dials. Given your camera's hot shoe will be blocked by the upper part of the cage, a cold shoe mount is provided on the top right side. An additional cold shoe mount is provided towards the front end of the handle which can be used for mounting an external monitor, mic, lights, etc.The rails are threaded so they can be extended if needed. I added a "15mm Rod Clamp Rail Block with Cold Shoe Mount Adapter" in the back so I could mount my audio gear. For long lenses, you could add two 4" extension rods/rails (or simply reposition the provided rails) and purchase a lens support add-on.Overall, this is a pretty solid, reasonably priced cage. I'm 100% happy I with my purchase and would highly recommend for GH3/4/5 owners.

Fits the RX100M7 even with the Sony AG-R2 grip attached (although it's a tight fit). The wooden handle is removable.

Have been looking for a cage for my GH5 and this appeared to fit the bill and it fits perfect. No problems with screws coming loose and everything on the camera is accessible.

The bottom screens connecting the base come loose very easily when working with a heavier set up or simply touching it too much. I tried tightening the screws but over time they would still be one loose making my image a little shakier than i would like for handheld. The top handle is pretty solid but scary at first because it it’s not tightened enough, your entire camer could drop. I love how the rods can be attached which really sold me but I don’t feel like it’s worth the risk of breaking your camera.

Works alright for the price, will however wear down quite fast. My top handle got super loose to the point I can’t attach it to the cage without the risk of it falling off. Might as well invest in a better quality cage than to risk damaging camera gear
