As a preface, I have bad feet, flat with over pronation. I have worn orthotics for decades. All the slippers I have had before were the usual flat bottomed ones. My feet hurt after walking on them on tile floors. Searched for something new....I put these on, and from the first slip of my foot into the sandal, it was one of the most comfortable shoes/sandals/slippers I have had. The cork insole feels great on my feet and the curve of it with the arch support, well, it feels like it was custom made for my feet. And I feel so much better walking on them. The cork does not breathe much, but that is not a real issue. And I live in Florida so I don't need those fluffy, wooly slippers. These are good looking enough that you could wear them on errands. At least here in casual Florida you could. My feet are 11.5, and the size 11 sandals are a little loose. Rare that you get a shoe that is too big instead of too small. But they fit well and my feet do not move around in them.In short, this is a great product, well-made, and designed for bad feet. They feel better than I had expected they would.

Perfect for me
*I was not given any discount or receive any compensation for this review... I bought them personally for myself*Perfect fit and great support... I have plantar fascistis as well as other foot problems from sciatica and diabetes... I'm not supposed to walk around the house without support... These are perfect... The fit is exactly true the support is a solid medium height very firm support.. Not too high but definitely have arch support, good heal cup... Good traction and you don't slip everywhere when wet, though I haven't worn them to the beach or river... The strap is super comfortable..I have wide feet and suffer from diabetic neuropathy as well, so things like uncomfortable straps always bug me... These never annoy me and that's rare... I cannot recommend enough...

Practicality
Great value. I wear this sandal everywhere. It's black, low key, flattering on the foot and blends with most outfits and occasions. I love the way they hug my feet. Walking in them is like walking barefoot. -with younger feet! And when they get dirty, I just throw them in the washer! I have 2 pair, so while one pair is being cleaned, I can just slip on the others. I recommended to my friend and she loves her's as well.

Advise selecting a smaller size than normal when in doubt
So far, these seem to offer the support needed for my high arches, but I need to wear them a bit longer to know whether this will hep to alleviate some pain in my left foot resulting from plantar fasciitis.NB: As these are not available in half sizes (I wear a men's size 10.5 shoe), I had to choose whether to order the next size up or down. Based on customer reviews and responses here, as well as my personal experience, I originally ordered these in size 11M. However, it was immediately clear upon first trying on this pair that the size 11 was too big -- not only was there a lot of excess space at the back of the heel cup, but the arch and metatarsal supports impacted the wrong part of my foot. I've since ordered and received a size 10, and these fit my size 10.5 foot perfectly. For those who normally wear a half-size shoe and are wondering whether to go up or down a size, I advise choosing the smaller size.I've bought these to wear exclusively around the house, as my physician tells me that I always need support for my high arches and should no longer go barefoot. I normally never wear shoes indoors, so I wanted a pair of simple, lightweight shoes that would be exclusively for inside use, but that still provide the needed support. Now that I have the correct size, the past couple of days of use suggest that these may well help provide the arch support I need, which I hope will help to resolve my plantar fasciitis issues. I'm keeping my fingers crossed (but not my toes) that I'm right!UPDATE: After six months of wearing these slides exclusively indoors, I can report that these alone have not provided adequate support for my high arches that I needed and had hoped for. However, after a couple months of wear, I simply removed the cork inserts in the shoes and replaced them with an orthotic designed for high arches and active use, and this does the trick. The shoes are still comfortable -- I wear them for at least an hour or so every day -- and as I don't wear them outdoors, I haven't had any issues with keeping them clean. I do recommend wearing them with socks (which is not my usual habit), as this helps both with the fit and keeping the insides of these unwashable shoes clean & fresh.

Overpriced and worth it!
Best sandals I've owned. Orthopedic fit - perfect if you need support. Non-slip. Excellent product. But - if you don't have any issues with your feet and all you need is a simple pair of flip flops - don't spend your money on this specialized item. These are for folks who really need excellent foot support. And they provide it extremely well!

Heck yeah!
Looked at open heal shoes for weeks. Tried some newer style crocks & couldn't ger comfortable in them. These are great. Very well made and stylish. A unique insole which takes a little adjusting but feels greT on my feet. So glad I decided to give these a try. I will be adding more to my shoe shelf. I also have the Kenneth Coles and I tried the sanuks on at a local store. These make tge other shoes look like low grade dollar store products. Don't hesitate. They are great shoes. You can find a plethora of insoles on their website too. I researched the company before I order. I'm into the details like that. Spenco Is a true shoe company. I'm glad I found them.
