About as good as the Starbucks version. Sumatra is my absolute favorite coffee

Very mediocre coffee. Not a great value given you expect beans or "reserve" to be better than canned grocery shelf coffee. Not a good representation of Sumatran coffees. Fair trade doesn't carry much value anymore if you read about it. So you judge the coffee. We found it to be run of the mill (no pun intended).

I love this coffee for the fact that it not only tastes real good but it is organic and fair trade! Now I said " real good", but it's not the best ever. The flavor is not terribly strong (and i brew it fairly strong), but it has a mild chocolatey undertone of smell and taste. It also has that 'clean' smell coffees can have). For the cost (in every way) this will most likely be one I'll order for my everyday morning beverage for a very long time! However, I'm still on the hunt for something with a bit less bitter and more depth without that pesticides & fairly traded;oD (Like the Illy I drank while in Germany.

Not very strong tasting coffee. I had to use 1.5 the amount to get the desired strength. Won’t be purchasing again.

My VERY FAVORITE COFFEE! It has a strong coffee flavor with a rather mysterious smoky aspect. No matter how strong I make it, it's never bitter. I like it made either with a coffee cone and filter or in a French press, always one cup at a time. I do not leave the coffee on the grounds very long in the French press. If you are like me and like your coffee strong, but not bitter, try Green Mountain's Sumatra Reserve. Makes me want a cup right now, just writing about it!

I have also decided that buying beans from a large very specific coffee chain doesn't work for me anymore as they don't actually taste good. Also, this place has a tendency to not support police officers. You know the one. So I was on a quest to find better beans that I feel good about buying. These are the ones. Whole bean is the way to go and they are hard to find in the stores. I'm just going to stay stocked up on these lovely beans. Delish and fresh!

This coffee did not have the distinctive sumatra smell and flavor. Very little body.
