So many nightgowns are so thin you can see underwear through but not these. They're lightweight but still can't see through.

I got this for my granddaughter who is just turned 10. She is slim with long legs. She wears a US Size 10/12 from department stores but they can be on the short side for her. For this nightgown, I got her a 14 and it's a little loose on the top but long enough and that was the goal. The loose top is not a problem because it is a sleep shirt so no need for it to be fitted.As for the 100% cotton claim - I'm going to say this is not true. The tags say 100% cotton but is has a stretch to it and it's on the shiny side plus is has some weight to it compared to her other 100% cotton sleep gowns. I'm guessing it has some spandex in it? It's not a polyester because it doesn't make her sweaty (many in our family can't wear polyester because it makes us overheat and sweat as polyester doesn't breath despite what companies tell you, it's a plastic so no breathing going on there).The color is nice and design is cute. Washed well and she loves it.

I know guidelines say pajamas need to be made with fire-retardant material, but that usually means polyester that gets pilly after two washes.I LOVE that this nightgown/sleep shirt is 100% cotton! My daughter finds it soft and comfy.A great purchase!
