Purple Shampoo For Blonde Hair (500ml) - Silver & Blue Shampoo, No Yellow, Platinum Blonde Toner

I have never received so many complements on my hair colour. I hadn't even heard of purple hair shampoo before so obviously the first thing I thought was is it going to turn my hair purple? I got into lots of research and found that purple shampoo toning effects can give a tinge of purple if you leave it on way too long. After drumming up the confidence I wanted to find the most suitable purple hair shampoo for blonde hair to try give my hair a more of a unique uplifting brightness to it instead of having the dull yellowy tones that typically come with having natural blonde hair. I was almost tempted by the fanola no yellow however the nyk1 is targetted for blondes.I must say that this product is AMAZING. The toning effect did exactly as I was hoping and instead of adding a grey tint it turned out what I can only describe as a beautiful icy blonde colour. The longer you leave it the more of the effect you get. I find that 5 minutes is the perfect time for me. Rinse and repeat but do not overdo it the first time and wash your hands regularly otherwise you will end up with a bathroom looking like a barney the dinosaur murder scene.Buy this and you will not be disappointed!!

I was first attracted to this shampoo as the packaging was lovely and looks great in my bathroom! It comes in a lovely bottle which is easy to use and you can also apply for a salon pump too after purchase. I left the shampoo on for about 5 minutes as normal and the toning effect result I am now in love with!I've tried fanola no yellow, the bed head one, osmo and more recently fudge purple shampoo but this one beats them all. No yellow / silver shampoos are not usually such salon strength and can be really hit and miss depending on which ones you try. The NYK1 is the absolute strongest. The brassiness disappeared from my hair and I was left with a lovely silver tone. It also smells greatIf you're looking for a silver toner or gorgeous ash blonde look then you need to BUY THIS!!!(Pictures attached I hope someone finds this helpful!)

This product is very good and will lighten blonde hair that has had bleach on it and bring it to a white blonde blonde. However, I’ve found with my golden blonde hair, it only lightens the hair that has the most bleach on it. I am naturally very dark blonde / mousey brown so have highlights to make it golden blonde. The shampoo only seems to lighten the mid length hair and the ends that have accumulated bleach over time, not the hair that has less in it. It might be me using it wrong, but I do end up with golden roots, then white blonde in the middle. Have used twice now so will try again and maybe leave on the roots longer and avoid the other areas. Will update if any change.

Easy to use

I've used this before for the advised 5 mins whilst in the shower and was never convinced it was any good. This time around whilst trying to get rid of stubborn red/copper out my hair I am gobsmacked! I wet my hair, towel dried it and put it in without lathering it, just slathered it on and left for 15 mins. The colour change is like night and day. Still a bit of work to do on the after but really pleased with the results and surprised to have toned down the red/copper with one bleach bath and purple shampoo. Must also add I had major white 'hot' roots after the bleach bath which aren't clear on pics and this has blended them well (not perfect but ok). Best to wear gloves and wipe up any splashes straight away as it's highly pigmented and will stain.

As a natural blonde in my youth, I am very fair-skinned and as I grew older and my hair darkened it didn't suit my colouring so I coloured it blonde. However, I am not 35 any more and I didn't feel that my blonde looked look right any more, I have toyed with the idea of toner but was worried I'd end up looking like Dame Edna! After reading the reviews I took the plunge and bought this and it's amazing, no obvious purple but a lovely ash blonde. I am delighted. I feel that most of the reviews are from younger ladies but just wanted to let anyone that might be a bit older and may like me, be nervous, that my shoulder-length 'bob' has never looked better!

Before to take the product I read all the reviews and I was really happy to find the perfect shampoo for blonde hair( for the reviews said about it) I ordered and when he came I quickly wash my hair to see the miracle but after put it on my hair I instead regretted, few parts off my hair turn purple and few silver. Very very disappointed about this product. Never ever in my live I will use this shampoo. Don’t buy it is a waste of money.

This purple shampoo is amazing if you have yellow/warm tones and having used purple shampoo before including Fanola, I would say this is one of, if not, the best. Only used once but already see great results and I only left on for 1 minute, but it can apparently be left longer (up to 5 minutes) for even greater platinum results. Lovely smell and not drying like others I have used. Great after care service from NYK1. I highly recommend this product - you will not be disappointed.
