Sew TechRE28B Embroidery Hoop for Janome MC 500E 550E Memory Craft Elna Expressive 830 etc., Sewing and Embroidery Machine Hoops

I use this on my Janome 550E and it works perfectly at less cost than OEM.

I was a bit skeptical about this hoop, saying it was just like the Janome RE28b. My dealer was going to sell me the "original one" for $200 but he would give me a 20% discount because I bought my machine there. Then I see this online and decided to take the plunge and try it out.Not only does it fit perfectly on my machine, (Janome 550E) it came with double the clips and the centering plate. All the numbers on the hoop are the exact numbers that are on the original ones. I cannot see any difference except it seems to be a slightly darker color, and I mean very slightly, than the other hoops that came with it.Screws seem to be good quality and the attachment to the machine fits perfectly. Not sure how they can sell them this cheaply but if there is an issue I will report back on here.I would recommend this and would buy again if it would be necessary. Can't beat this price or the quality on this item.

This hoop is fabulous! It is identical to the hoops that came with my machine. It also came with the magnetic clips. The Janome hoop this size doesn’t come with those. I love my Janome 550e. But with these quality hoops at very affordable price, I will be getting more of this brand!! It will be nice to have more than one in a couple of sizes.

The only reason I gave the hoop a 4 is that it is not what I would actually call "flimsy" but certainly not as substantial as the ones that came with my machine, but I was prepared for that after reading all the reviews. I agree with most all of the reviews that it does, however, work just fine. I think I would do well to be sure to always store it on a flat surface rather than hang it up like the rest of my hoops. Considering the cost, I'm satisfied with the product.

The quality is less than a Janome hoop purchased from a dealer however it is a good hoop for the price point. It works well on my Janome 550E but I can tell a difference between the one that came with the machine and this one. If you are looking for a budget friendly option this is it.

2 oz stabilzer is too thick. last time I tried to use the hoop, the hoops wouldn't fit together. I was only able to use it one time.

Works great with my 550e.
