True Mylar Blankets
Good old Mylar blankets. These are nothing fancy, but perfect for an emergency. The quality seems there, and they are true to size. The pack of four is perfectly priced, and you can't go wrong having a handful of these around. I keep one in my BOB, one in my truck, one in my EDC, and one at home with my camping supplies. If you haven't used one, sacrifice one by giving it a test. Take it out, and try to poke a hole in it.. that way you know how fragile they are when the time comes and it is a true emergency. Wrap yourself up so you can see how well they keep you warm, and what the best way of doing so will be. I mean, if you are talented enough to fold it back up and cram it into the small ziploc style pouch.. all the power to ya! Otherwise, can it.. and depend on the other three.

Useful as the last resort on a camping trip
You buy this hoping you will not need it. My wife and I are avid backcountry hikers/campers. These provide a little bit of insurance and peace of mind on our trips, as they add a level of survivability in the event of something bad happening on the trail. I have used one of these, just for test purposes, and found them to be as about as thick and durable as you would expect given the price. I saw another reviewer compare these to REI mylar blankets - of course the REI ones are better, but they probably cost alot more too! They are thin, come individually folded and sealed, and easily fit in the pack taking up little precious space.

very shiny and it works too - who knew
they are very thin sheets and they sound like crackly stiff plastic... we tested the claim on retained heat by putting it on top of an electric blanket and putting a blanket on top of it.... so very little if any heat was transferred from the electric blanket through to blanket on top and the mylar blanket itself was cool to the touch... so for emergency heat preservation i would give them a full five stars but these blankets arent very big so an average sized man could not completely wrap up in the blanket ... and my gosh the noise... every little move and the crackly plastic sound but if youre freezing maybe that isnt the most important thing on the list... i have wadded them and re-smoothed as much as possible and there was no tearing but look at that smooth surface good before you use it because that is the last time youre going to see it look like that.... again i would give it five stars for durability relative to its thickness and where i am pulling back the point is on size...

Needed for the ultimate First Aid Kit
I searched and searched for the ultimate First Aid Kit, but could not locate one that had everything I wanted in it. I ended up buying a smaller $25+ version that had a LOT of smaller, individually wrapped items and then researched about 10 on the market that I liked parts of and printed out their contents. I went line by line and crossed out what I did not want in mine and highlighted what I did want. I bought a very large, plastic tool box to store it all in and now I am ready for BEAR! The entire "personalized" kit is NOT cheap, but it is customized with anything and everything but the kitchen sink. If you use coupons (Bed Bath & Beyond) and gift cards, etc., you can save some money when building the kit and - VERY IMPORTANT - if you have a flex spending account, MANY - if not most - of these first aid items are reimbursable with FLEX SPENDING DOLLARS!!!

How could you turn up this deal?
Hey, it's four good-sized mylar blankets for about a buck a piece. How can you turn up that deal? Buy the pack, and toss a couple in your glove-box, your camping gear, and the like. Before buying, I did a little research. These are good quality, and nicely sized. Being well over six feet tall, and around 250lbs, I wanted to make sure I picked an emergency blanket that was big enough to accommodate me. I will admit, I haven't opened/unfolded the blankets, cause let's face it, they're essentially a one-time use item. Disposable. Impossible to fold back up again into that tiny little square. But they arrived in good shape, and I simply added them to my emergency pack that I keep in the trunk of my car. You never know where life will take you or what you'll need when you get there. It's four bucks, and it could save your life some day. Or the life of someone you love. Or possibly even a stranger. Who knows? Spend the four bucks.

Mylar Blanket
I love, love these. Used them on my bedroom windows it kept the room in Arizona, non the less from getting to hot in the afternoon when it got super hot do to sun shining directly in my room. I could still look outside but nobody could see into my room from the ouside. I also had to sleep out in the desert when I went to the Grand canyon in the end of March so I decided to try on my car windows. Cut r Them to the size of my HHR windows and was able to stay in my car during the day and it was not to hot. I slept at night and kept peeping eyes from looking in my car. I also bought fruits and vegetables including avacodos, wrapped them all in a towel them wrapped them in these mylar blankets and after 8 days in the Arizona desert in my car, I was pleasingly shocked that nothing had spoiled and only the cilantro wilted a little but was still edible. The tomatoes looked like they did the day I bought them, so did the onions and serrano peppers and some of the avacodos had not even ripened yet. Great stuff this Mylar blanket.

These could save some lives!
I bought these after watching several episodes of man vs wild on netflix. I figured they would be important to have in case of some emergency (seems like the world is getting more prone to them each year). They work fantastically! I tested one out by stripping down to just my boxers and turning the AC and a fan blowing directly at me. I live in the desert so it often hard to escape the heat. Anyways I covered myself with this space blanked and instantly i started to feel warmer! After about 5 mins i was completely back to being warm again. THESE SPACE BLANKETS WILL ALSO FIT IN YOUR POCKET! Warning: once your open the blanket, it`s nearly impossible to fold it back up to reuse.

I didn't really know what I was going to use them for when I ordered, but at that low price you never know when they might be needed. I shall keep them in my car in case of emergencies!!
