Yes, you can go cheaper but when you go this route the battery fits, the cover matches and so does the dock. Other charging docks claim a higher MAH however after having this I don't believe the lie. I have the others and the battery in this one lasts longer! 5-Stars Microsoft! Well done!

I ordered this a while back, when I did order it, it was supposed to be the blue one and instead I got a gears of war Kait edition. I bought a controller to match the blue model (that’s not GOW btw) but was surprised to see a different one. Maybe they ran out? Still is great! Works great just sad I didn’t get the right one since I went and spent about $60 on both a charging doc and controller so they can match but then they didn’t. ( bought this maybe 1/2 a year ago prob now)

Not happy with controller and charging station. Gave it 1 star for looks. The controller will not seat in the charging station with the battery cover on. I had to remove it to get a good connection to charge.When fully charged, the controller only lasted a few 3 hours before needing to be charged again. The controller and battery that came with the Xbox one will last all day before needing to be charged again.

The battery works, as well as the back cover, but to be able to charge it, i have to remove the battery cover for it to get a connection. Will try ordering a replacement, and if this does not work i will just return for refund. I will update my review and let you all know what the verdict is

It's helpful if you're a gamer, you don't have to always worry about charging your controller. Also you can use the controller while charging.
