Pickett Combination Ellipse Master Template, 15 Degree, 30 Degree, 45 Degree and 60 Degree Projections, Gray (1269I)

The template is well labeled with axes required to properly orient the "circles" in any isometric plane, making the template very quick and easy to learn to use. I only wish they made a version that was small enough to fit in the rear cover flap of my 5x7 Bullet Journal notebook. As a work-around, I cut this one in half down the center and each half still works fine, though not as seamlessly as the full version. The template includes stand-off bumps on the side toward the paper to avoid smearing and is flexible and unbreakable. The material was also conducive to cutting with scissors to make the template fit in my notebook which was a plus for me.

This is a great ellipse template for drawing, drafting, comic book work, airbrush, etc. It is made of relatively thick, scratch resistant material that has a solid weighty feel. The bottom side has small bumps that provide an inking edge. Unlike hard plastic templates, you have to press this one down to ensure that it is flat. Nevertheless, it is not prone to crack, shatter or chip. There are a few small rough edges in the template but I can't really notice them when using a pencil.

Used this handy tool for my industrial design class. Plenty of sizes and angles to choose from.

Very sturdy, well made ellipse template.

I like very much this ellipse template because the major and minor axes are clear and accurately positioned, more so than other less expensive templates. If you need the minor axis to be accurate these are better than the green ones from westcott. The only thing is I wish that the maximum was 2". There is no template that does that and all the other small sizes. With this and the Combo Ellipse Template I have all the ellipses I most commonly use.

I use this for creating realistic sketches of car tires. Very sturdy and helpful.

Great - aids in the learning process. Practice and soon it will be easy when urban sketching. You will develop muscle memory!
