Somersets Maximum Glide Shaving Oil Extra Sensitive, 30 g

I've been using shaving oils for over 10 years, and am a big fan. I started with King of shaves until it became difficult to get hold of, then used Nuage before trying Somersets just over a year ago.I was initially put off by the price - about £375 a litre, but I've been impressed. It gives noticeably more glide than the Nuage, and the 15ml bottle I received (rather than 12 as advertised) lasted me just over a year using a drop per shave (Somersets recommends 3 drops). I shave about 6 times a week in the shower, which I think makes it go further as it oftens the stubble.Having bought the first bottle from Amazon I've since bought a 35ml bottle from Somersets' website as it's cheaper.

I can't find this in shops any more and have been using it for many years so I was pleased to find it here. You don't need to use much oil each time, and it has a great smell and just feels great to use.

I've struggled for ages to find the perfect shave and I'm not about to say this is the answer, but it seems to help so I recommend giving it a try.For some reason I missed that you should apply to a wet face, so for the first week it was a tad harsh on my skin but understandably so.Would purchase again.

The oil is great. One star purely due to poor design of the lid.I have purchased two of these for travelling and the same thing happened to both -The little plastic stopper gets dislodged from the lid and breaks off.The first one just broke off and meant the oil leaks so - had to be binned.Second time the plastic broke off inside the bottle, sealing it! Tried to pry it out of the bottle with no luck. Again. It was binned.Will happily buy again if they come up with new packaging.

Convenient and pleasant to use. Also helps to control eczema in the ears. Didn't know that!

I thought this great English company were no more but found them on Amazon totally natural product no rash or dry skin no going back to the shops every 3 months to buy more chemical filled foam one of these little beauties lasts and lasts and lasts, in short if you have sensitive skin try this.

Feels good when shaving...highly recommended!You will need more than one application but leave your face very cool & fresh.I really want to say...'I liked it so much....I brought the whole company!"

Thought this was unlikely to be that good (being a very cynical person!). It really is that good. I have thown out shaving brush and foam/gel dispenser. It is ideal for travel and gives a really good shave. Already bought two more.Minor personal point/recommendation :I found it works best on a wet face!Good value for money.Try and see for yourself.(I am a private customer and have no link to product in any way)
