NostalgicWarehouse New York Door Knob with Plate

The media could not be loaded.  Hefty, substantial doorknob. I’ve replaced all the interior door knobs with these unlacquered brass ones from nostalgic warehouse and what a difference!!! Adds such charm and character and seriousness! Much much much improved from the builder grade options!

These knobs are stunning and very sturdy. They feel very weighty unlike the cheap builder grade junk our home came with. Looks so elegant! DO IT!!

One of the most frustrating purchases of my life. I bought a dummy door knob and a matching privacy doorknob for my French doors leading into my office. The dummy arrived quickly, the privacy was on back order for a few weeks. The privacy doorknob arrived and they’d sent the wrong color- gold, not antique bronze. Had to send it back for a replacement. Waited another few days and they again sent the wrong one. I canceled that order altogether and reordered the antique bronze. It finally arrived today. They look lovely and I was exited to install them.The interior latch mechanism was too long for the door so had to drill a large hole inside the door to make it fit. The screws supplied are too small and heads go right through the holes. I persevered and drilled more holes to attach the backing plates of the knobs. Last step is installing the privacy pin. It won’t screw in. I uninstall and realize you can only install it from the one side. The wrong side for my door.I’m now going to have to return this knob, can’t return the dummy one as it’s been so long since I received that one and have holes in my door that I’ve drilled that I’m going to have to patch and repaint.Back to UPS I go for the third time to return this door knob. Total frustration. Buyer beware.

I’ve bought a few items from here and the quality is top notch. I know they’re expensive but I really don’t have any complaints! I am happy with my purchase.

I was researching Unlacquered brass knobs for around 4 months. Went with these and very happy with the quality, construction, and look!

I absolutely love this door knob. The color quality size shape are beautiful you can’t go wrong. The only thing that was strange is that they had a funny smell and I thought every time I open the door my hand would smell, so I am not going to use them, I chose unlacquered brass and maybe that’s why they smell. I wonder if I had ordered polish brass would it be fine, but I ran out of time maybe that is just common. The smell associated with unlacquered brass smells like pennies in your hand. I still love the look.

After several failed purchases of other cheaper knobs, we decided to purchase these more expensive recreations that mirror our houses original hardware from the 1890's. We installed them as dummy knobs on our closet doors. The knobs arrived on time and packaged well. While there are ample guides included to aid you in a clean installation, I ignored them in order to install these knobs at the same height as our other original doors (which is not of standard height). I'm very pleased with the ease of installation and of the quality of the product.

Love these! Bought them for all throughout our house.
