Purchased this book for my husband who would rather watch than read. He has actually enjoyed this immensely. Lots of good quality photos. Organized and referenced well enough that it is easy to quickly find a answer to a question.Knowledgeable as well. My husband is a novice & I am just a beginner salt water enthusiast and this book contained info for both of us.Very happy with the shipping. This is an excellent study of all relevant aspects of the subject, I thought. But you must take the review in context that I am new to the Marine side of the hobby. But have over thirty years of fresh water experience.

Slightly out of date. Incomplete. Sketchy in places. Nevertheless, one of the better ones out there. Too much direct "how to" without adequate explanation for exactly how to do it. Actually, somewhat mediocre, but better than average among a limited and mediocre batch of books. At the moment, Reef Secrets by Nilson and Fossa is a favorite, primarily because they deal with ideas and principles rather than today's best guesses at nuts and bolts.

This book has all of the information, and more, than you will ever need. Worth the price. It was a great help with the saltwater aqauarium that I received from my son.

A very good book to have. Many technical terms can make is a bit hard to read but that is what glossaries are for.

This book entailed alot of info for the beginer hobbiest,, detailes included water chemistry, salinity,proper set up of a tank, the book illustrated sum corals witn nice pictures,this is a good refercne book to keep on hand for the beginner, knowledge is key wiht salt water aquariums, there are differetn problems that arise every day, its changing,, the book was in good condition and no markings were visiable so was a good buy,

So helpful for beginners or old pros looking for tips or solutions to common problems. i purchased this book along with another and am very pleased.

Nice Basic content. Really well explained. Useful and accessible for persons with all levels of knowledge in fishtanks. Just loved It!

This is an excellent book.

Comprehensive and complete handbook. Can be used for a beginner to an expert level and it's useful if you only what to check how complex would be to set up your on marine tank.It has also updated information about the modern equipment used and it's really valuable the chapters that describe marine fauna and flora.

If your a beginner like me in Marine aquaria this is a 'must have' book. It technically explains all you need to thoroughly understand what you 'need to know'. I have other books on the marine topic but this wipes the floors with all of them. It doesn't include anything on LED lighting, but it teaches you about wavelengths, LUX & lumens etc, so you can go out armed with the right knowledge to make an informed purchase rather than be taken in by hype. It will also equip your brain cells to sniff out those talking garble!
