Cal Lighting BO-2077GT-BS Traditional One Floor Lamp Lighting Accessories, Brushed Steel

It’s a nice lamp, but it is wobbly on carpet. I bought it for my dad to replace a similar 30+ year old one he had that was having issues with the switch. This new one works fine, looks nice, but the base is just not sturdy on any carpet. It seems ok on hard flooring. I wish they’d made a larger and heavier base. I am pretty concerned it will fall over at some point and then I’ll have to deal with the problems it causes.

Arrived sooner than expected. The base is a bit small, but weighted and will hold the lamp upright if not put to undue stress - such as a larger pet bumping into it.. The swivel arm is somewhat spindly in appearance and not not quite level when extended. Close enough if you are not a perfectionist. It was easy to assemble with clear instructions. Required little effort or thought. Over all, it would have been a good buy at $75.00 including shipping. At $90 including shipping, it is slightly over priced. It is a more attractive and functional than many floor lamps you can purchase for a similar price. The shipping packaging was a bonus - Chinese newspapers. It appears that they are as interested in our society as we may be in theirs. I would purchase this floor lamp again, but look for a better price because of the swing arm shortfall.

I like the look of it. People are right in saying the shade is not excellent, but it isn't bad either. I draped crystals all around it and suddenly it looks a lot more expensive. During the day, the sunlight hits the crystals to make rainbows; at night the light from the lamp through the shade makes great silhouettes and shows off the pewter-held crystals to advantage. It's not as sturdy (as steady on the floor) as I had expected, and the little table is rated for five pounds. I'm glad it's tempered glass though; my smallest cat who uses it for a step to the table or the chair, weighs nine pounds, so we'll see... I do like it a lot in spite of my comments. Looks nice.

OK, so the lamp arrived as promised. Nice compact package. Hmmmm, a little TOO compact to contain a lampshade, I thought. Yep, I was right! NO lampshade in the box. So I started thinking that maybe it will arrive in a separate shipment. 1 day, 2 days... No lampshade. I'm disappointed... Now what? Other than that 'small' detail, the lamp base and arm are just as I had hoped. Solid and secure. Funny thing. The listing states, "with Tan Fabric Shades" (why plural shadeS, I wonder). But the assembly pictograph does NOT show a shade, but it shows a light bulb, which is clearly NOT included! Now I'm really confused. I am questioning my online shopping wisdom now... Thanks Cal Lighting. "Cal Lighting"... I'm thinking west coast US now. Hardly... China all over this one!

This lamp is the perfect size and color for the living room. Having a challenge to find the 3 way CFL bulb - it will not fit with the lamp's filial...had to resort to the soon to be obsolete bulb but will continue to search for the better bulb. Was unaware that a regular bulb -non 3 way - does not work.

My wife wanted a bedside light for reading. The lamp on the nightstand wasn't cutting it anymore. I put an LED spot bulb in this lamp to cut the heat, and put it right next to the bed. She loves it. This lamp is not high quality, but it works. I'm pretty sure it's a Chinese product.

The lamp itself is fine, but I knocked 2 stars off because the advertising is deceptive, as NO LAMPSHADE is included! This should be clearly stated. Not sure why some of the reviews are mentioning a lampshade, but mine contained none. And for this price, it a lampshade SHOULD have been included!

Wobbly. Switch broken upon delivery, fairly easy fix. I don't understand why every one of this style lamp is so unstable, I've owned many over the years. This one is a little better than most but is still wobbly.
