Meh....
It doesn't kill the pests permanently, you have to keep doing it. It's a nice way to keep orders coming in I guess. I'm to get a couple of peppermint shrimp. From everything I've read about them they love to eat pest anemones. I can not recommend this product.

This stuff is AMAZING
I was always skeptical of chemical treatment for aiptasia- I've been fighting a battle with these pesky anemones for about 8 months now. I tried nudibranch's that supposedly ate them, filefish, camel shrimp... none of that worked. I had so many aiptasia in my display that I lost two colonies of zoanthids and a bird's nest to stings. There must have been about 40-50 of the little buggers in my tank, and honestly I was pretty disheartened. Thought about breaking down the tank and restarting. Instead, I tried aiptasia-x. I AM SO GLAD I DID. It killed every last one in a single treatment just this morning. The last vestiges of the plague upon my tank are now melting away. I even accidentally got some on my euphilia, bubble tip anemone, acans and a zoanthid colony (the aiptasia were close, I couldn't avoid it) and they are fine now. I can't recommend this product enough. If you have aiptasia problems, give this stuff a go. You will be glad you did! Plus, even with all the aiptasia I had in my tank, I barely put a dent in the bottle- I could probably de-louse an infestation of that magnitude twenty or thirty times! I'm elated to see my colonies opening back up again, and the stressors of the invaders gone. Red Sea definitely made a customer for life in me.

Aipstasia-Xterminated
Red Sea Fish Pharm ARE22231 Aiptasia-X Eliminator Kit for Aquarium, 2.02-Ounce This product does what it is intended to do, quickly kill nuisance Aiptasia that can rapidly overcome a reef tank and harm (sting) other corals in the process. Overall, I would recommend to everyone. Simple/easy instructions, quick and affordable solution. Most importantly, the solution didn't hurt my corals (SPS, LPS, Softies) or fish. The Process:-Turn off power heads and return pumps so that water flow is still-Choose your needle applicator of choice: Straight needle or Slightly Bent needle (I recommend bent for harder to reach areas)-Shake bottle vigorously and fill your 3 mL syringe with desired amount of Aiptasia-X solution (this is dependent on how much aiptasia you are treating)-Slowly and without disrupting the aiptasia, squirt the solution into its mouth, they will shrivel up and die.-Repeat and continue to treat the remaining aiptasia-Leave power heads and pumps off for 15 minutes after to ensure the solution kills them.-Boom! Enjoy your aipstasia free tankHardest Part:-Make sure you don't disrupt the aiptasia prior to applying the solution. If they shrivel up in protection, their mouths close you can't kill them.Keep in mind this product will not permanently kill all aiptasia in your tank but ONLY the aiptasiayou treat with this solution. If other aiptasia remains (and it will), they will continue to grow and eventually spread to other areas of the tank. However, you can help prevent the spread of aiptasia by killing any existing aiptasia when you see them! Once aiptasia is introduced into a tank, it is almost impossible to completely eliminate it 100% BUT you can manage your aiptasia and keep it to a minimum with this product.Packaging:My product looks a little different from the one pictured (See picture), I believe Red Sea has come out with a new packaging but all the contents within the box are the exact same.

I looked like a mound of snow on the area where the ...
I just used this about a little over a week ago, so far no signs of the aptasia returning. A couple of things though:1. This aptasia was growing among some zooanthids. It was not just by itself. It was a little bit larger than the zooanthids I had but with much longer tentacles.2. I used the angled tip. Once I got within tentacle length of the aptasia I injected about a fourth of the syringe to make sure it covered the aptasia's mouth. I then covered it more and then added the rest of it to the surrounding area with the rest of the syringe. I looked like a mound of snow on the area where the aptasia was.3. Because the aptasia was on an angled part of the rock, some of the aptasia x trickled down and did get onto the mouths of the zooanthids and when I covered the area some of the zooanthids were covered in the stuff for at least 30 minutes. They did die, no doubt about it. I think about 6-8 died but they were small and i still had alot of zooanthids left. Some of the stuff did get onto one of my mushroom corals and it made what I can only describe as an irritation mark (kinda looked like it got a chemical burn) but it was completely normal the next day. No other corals were affected.A couple of my fish tried to eat the stuff but spit it out right away. No deaths.

You're weeding a garden; it's not going to be one-and-done
With this stuff (and all the other "cures" I've ever tried) you can kill the aiptasias you can see, but you will never find them all. That's why the kit is a little bottle and the refill is a 16oz bottle. Use this stuff to knock down the big ones and get some peppermint shrimp or other aiptasia eaters to mop up the rest. Once you have them under control, the shrimp can keep them in check.Homemade kalk preparations work, too, but you have to mix up a new batch each time or the next time you use it it is already crusty. I like this product because the material in the bottle is a liquid, but as soon as it hits the water in the tank it becomes much more like a gel or paste.

We tried it on a rock we could take out of the tank. Applied as directed and left in pail with salt water over night. In the morning the Aiptasia was definitely dead and the medicine had dissolved...didn't know our Black Bristle Star fish was is that rock! Even overnight in the pail he was perfectly alive and fine. If this product was toxic it would have killed our Star fish. If/when we find another one we are ready and feel confident that we can kill the Aiptasia where we find them.

Works as advertised
Loved this stuff I only had 1 aiptasia and wanted to get rid of it before it made more ,applied it ,worked like a charm 1 week later no new anemones, you'll want to apply it as soon as you see one because they multiply quickly and to kill more than a few dozen would be a daunting task

Zapped them aiptasias dead with very little effort!
Note to self: Do not forget to turn off all the pumps as the included instructions said. Two zoas got hit on the side. I hope they'll be okay. :-/Product was delivered in 3 days, which I really appreciated.I'm think there are still 2 very small ones left, so I'll wait for them to get bigger so I'm sure they are not actually zoas or simply red algae , but aiptasias.

Works like magic for any anemone pest.
I had some anemone pest (wasn't Aiptaisia). More like Majano and greenish button polyp anemone. It cleared everything in a second. Still have couple left that were hiding but I will do a second treatment and it will be all gone. Thanks for your great product
