TAKOMTAK8002 8002 1/35 Panzer III AUSF. M with Aprons

Excellent molding detail, photo etched schurzen, single piece main gun barrel, wavy antenna, link-&-length tracks with extra single track links, colorful instruction manual with multiple paint scheme suggestions, etc. This kit establishes the perfect compromise between Dragon and Tamiya as it's comparable to the former in detail, but competitive to the latter in terms of price.I should note that this kit is NOT for beginners and the overall build, owing to the numerous smallish parts and tight fits, required more time that I anticipated. Be careful with the schurzen bracket mounts as I made mistakes in placement as the instructions for this important step are wanting. I also had to do some "plastic surgery" on the front glacias plate when attaching it to the upper superstructure, you'll see when you get there.All that being said, this kit deserving of this rating and the end result is absolutely fantastic. I rarely follow the kit camo suggestions, but I couldn't help it in this case as the 2nd Panzer Division option was too cool to NOT replicate it and beating up, painting and weathering the photo-etched schurzen was the most enjoyable aspect of the experience. I should have removed some of the panels as this was more realistic for a vehicle in action, but I'm keeping them all attached for now. The small caliber impacts we're particularly fun.Anyway, I've had a recent run on Panzer III's and Stugs, so I'm going to cleanse my model pallet with something else entirely, but this project (and result) was amazing.

So Takom is the fresh new supreme democracy while Tamiya is the fugly inbred monarchy that's been ruining the hobby. The molded in detail is, diamond sharp, is that a thing? Their 90 degree angles are 90 degrees where's Tamiya's is like 70 at the apex. It's hard to put into words how much better this is. And for cheaper than Tamiya!!?? Blood magic. Basically, I like it a lot.

Why Have I marked it down to two stars? Some of the parts are so fiddly that they are beyond my skill level. I was actually getting stressed with it and I do this hobby to calm my nerves.... I will come back to it, as it is so detailed,; the finished model will be awesome.

Der Bausatz ist aus dem Jahr 2020, und stammt aus einer komplett neuen Form. Das sieht man auch wenn man sich die Teile ansieht. Sauber gegossen und keine Fischhäute. Die Blitz Serie von Takom soll ja eigentlich eine günstigere, abgespeckte Variante des Modells mit weniger Teilen darstellen. Davon merkt man aber nicht wirklich etwas, jedenfalls ich nicht. Die Bauteile sind sehr detailliert, die Kette ist eine Segmentkette mit Durchhang und es liegen sogar Ätzteile für die Seitenschürzen dabei. Man sieht bei der Außenhülle die angedeuteten Köpfe der Schlitzschrauben und natürlich alle Schweißbahnen. Für den Preis ist das ein toller Bausatz den man direkt aus der Box bauen kann. Die Kette und ein paar der Kleinteile sind zwar nicht für Anfänger geeignet, aber mit Geduld schafft man auch das. Ich habe jahrelang nur Modelle vom "heimischen Hersteller" gebaut und man erkennt da doch einen deutlichen Unterschied in der Detaillierung.

納期は、予定通り受け取れました。しかし、ひどい商品が届きました。新品と広告しておきながら、箱は過去の水濡れ?くしゃくしゃでしたし、箱底面に意味不明なセロテープが2箇所に貼り付けあり。中身は、部品のビニールが開封してあるものがありました。劣悪な中古品が届きました。部品が壊れているとか不足しているとかではない為、苦情は言えませんが、およそ店頭にあったら新品として販売出来る商品ではありません。もの凄くイヤな取引をさせられ後味が悪いです。この販売店の商品は、二度と購入しないよう今後注意します。

主力戦車としてのⅢ号戦車では最後の型であるM型です。既に長砲身Ⅳ号やティーガーが登場し、パンターも初陣を飾るという時期にあっては力不足を隠せず、当初1000輛生産予定から250輛に減らされ主力戦車としての地位を完全に終えました。とはいえその厳ついシルエットからかⅢ号戦車の中では人気があるようで、過去に複数プラモ化されています。そして今回のタコム製ですが、流石に最新キットだけあって全体的にシャープです。組み易さを主眼に置いたブリッツシリーズということでパーツ数もそこそこに抑えてあります。履帯は部分連結でセンターガイドの肉抜きと上部の弛み表現もしっかりされていますが、エッチング製のシェルツェンを複数付ける場合殆ど見えなくなります。組んでいて気になった点としては・フェンダーステーとフェンダーのダボ穴が合わない。ステーのダボを切除してそのまま芋付けするのが楽。・車体前部機銃ボールマウントが収まりにくいので削るなど対処が必要。・側部吸気孔カバーなどいくつか干渉する部分がある。など。致命的なものではないので現物合わせで何とかなると思います。それとは別にこのキット、箱からしてコンパクトに纏めてある（タミヤのL型・N型より小さい）のですが説明書＆塗装指示図も小さく見辛いので大判の別紙にして欲しかったところです。まあクルスク戦の車輛を再現する分には箱絵も参考になりますしそこまで困りませんが…。完成した後眺めてみると、やはりM型はこのOVMとシェルツェンステーが交差するフェンダー上のごちゃごちゃした密度がたまりません。M型に加えすでにN型が発売され他社もJ型を出し、ブロンコとミニアートがA～D型をインジェクションキット化するなどⅢ号戦車コレクションはここ数年で一気に充実しました。ありがたいことですねぇ。
