Bambi / Bambi 2 [DVD] [1993] [UK Import]

Fast, courteous service, and great packaging. My daughter is going to love these movies.

Came packed well and arrived quickly. Intended as a gift so haven't watched it myself.

I am pretty sure that anyone who is reading this knows what this Disney classic is, so I will skip movie review and get to the format. There are a lot of reviews here saying it doesn't work. DVD has a warning that it is Region 2 and would not play in US / Canada. So I went straight for BluRay version. BluRay is region free, which means it would play anywhere in the world. Recordings are of the superb quality for the big screen. Everything you need out of the movie disc.

I had not seen Bambi since I was a child, and this DVD brought back all the feelings I had at 6 years old. Bambi 2 maintained the mysterious forrest like there were no other place in the world. There was never any horizon or other identifying images showing there was an outside world. II have watched both videos several times when we've had company. I was able to introduce it to my grandchildren who loved them as much as I did.

IF YOU LIVE IN THE US, THIS IS NOT THE ONE YOU WANT. Order yours from somewhere else. This item is in ITALIAN, and will not play. I've ordered lots of items shipped from other countries (well several anyway) and NO WHERE DOES THIS SAY ON THE ITEM ORDERING PAGE THAT THIS ITEM IN IN ITALIAN. I ordered this and waited for weeks. When it finally arrived today (well packaged), I popped it in my DVD player and it reads "REGION ERROR - NOT APPROVED FOR PLAY IN YOUR REGION". NOT GOOD - NOT GOOD AT ALL. I was completely caught off-guard by this and I'm out $25.00 and change. Everybody know you can't return this stuff once it's opened (and who's going to pay return postage to Italy anyway?) O.K. rant over. Time for a little relaxation.

Arrived very quickly. Excellent condition, good price. Had to send it back though. I was stupid and ordered a version that can't be viewed on machines in USA. OOPs

Wonderful combo pack. I was so excited to see Bambi 1 and 2 sold together! Already watched them twice. The Blu-Ray looks beautiful and the movies were very enjoyable. The movies are packaged together in one case not two so if that matters to you you might want to think about it before you buy it. Other than that it's a wonderful combo pack.

It's worth the buy I got it and it turns out it's the collectors edition with each movie in it's own case:)

Bambi è una storia bellissima, ma come al solito, voglio recensire altru aspetti: la trama la potete leggere ovunque! Grazie ai numerosi contenuti speciali in Bambi, ho visto questo film con un altro occhio: l'arte che stà dietro questo capolavoro è sbalorditiva! I disegni, le musiche, lo studio dei personaggi, la tecnica degli sfondi...Mi piaceva quand'ero piccola e ora mi piace ancora di più!Dopo aver visto e scoperto tutto questo, ero molto scettica mentre guardavo Bambi 2. Naturalmente non c'erano più gli artisti di Bambi, e nemmeno lo stesso Walt Disney: mi spattavo una schifezza, sia per la trama che per i disegni, come lo è stato per i seguiti di altri grandi classici Disney. Ma con grande sorpresa, mi sono veramente commossa per la storia e per il grande impegno tecnico e artistico! Sono rimasti fedelissimi al primo Bambi! Si sono impegnati rispettando un capolavoro (nonostante l'utilizzo delle nuove tecnologie), sfiorando, così, la creazione di un altro capolavoro! Consiglio a tutti di comprare questi due film perchè i bambini riceveranno tanti insegnamenti, come l'importanza del mondo animale e vegetale, e....anche a noi adulti non farebbe male!! ;)

Ich muss gestehen den ersten Teil hab ich noch nicht auf BluRay geguckt...hab ich ja auch erst gestern bekommen...aber dafür Teil 2 sogar schon 2mal!!!Ich muss dazu sagen das ich den zweiten Teil noch nicht kannte!Aber von der Story find ich ihn super toll...an einigen Stellen sogar besser als den Originalfilm...aber das ganze ist ja Geschmackssache!Die Qualität der BluRay ist super gut...aber das ist ja bei Disney eh noch eher so als bei anderen Produktionen!!!Und auf den Extras von Bambi zwei die Spiele sind für Kinder mehr als gut geeignet und das zweite ist selbst für Erachsene nicht unbedingt einfach...man muss gucken wie Tiere in Klopfers Bau gehen und wieder rauskommen und erst danach kommt die Frage wieviele noch von welchem Tier drinnen sind...da passiert es schnell das was untergegangen ist...Alles in allem ist es eine sehr schöne Box...Leider muss ich nur sagen das WendeCover schön gewesen wären...Aber dafür gibt es keinen Stern abgezogen!!
