I bought this dehumidifier to prevent condensation in our room where we dry our laundry during the winter and to prevent damp odour. It has been an excellent buy and value for money. No running costs, just dried out in the microwave when full of moisture. I plan to get another for my car now I know they do work

I left it a few months so that I could give it chance to work (or not) but can honestly say that the moisture in my car has significantly reduced since using it. I’ve dried it out a few times now and it’s still working. I leave it on my dashboard overnight and the screen is dry in the morning. My car has always been dreadful in the mornings, usually needing the blowers on for ten minutes before I can go anywhere but not anymore. Very happy and would recommend this.

Warm and thickness not relevant to this water absorption product.Put it in my car to stop condensation and still loads of condensation the next morning inside car screen. Took it into kitchen and weighed it to see if it had actually absorbed any water. Only few grams heavier. Left it in kitchen overnight by mistake and weighed it again. It had absorbed moisture from kitchen. Back in car now and condensation seems to be sorted. I think it takes a few days to get going.

This 1Kg bag should take care of the winter condensation inside my little VW Polo in the area where I live, and is big enough in one lump to do a proper job of it. I can just slap it on top of the dashboard overnight and allow it to absorb the moisture in the air. Advice on an occasional microwave drying time is printed on the bag's outer surface, but if you use your noddle you can work out the regularity needed to dry it out in short bursts anyway - because if it weighs 1 Kg dry any extra will be absorbed water. Acquiring this seems a better option than carrying on with my old practice of using old socks filled with cat-litter to absorb moisture. The cat litter method isn't always so efficient and can end up being messy when the contents need to be disposed of, whereas this bag can just be easily heat-dried in a microwave from time to time. Then just store it in a wardrobe in the warmer months to put it to use in there too.Eamonn

After having a previous similar product that didn't work, I was sceptical if this would work.Unlike the previous product, this has a thinner bag which makes it easier for moisture air to pass into the bag. After having placed it in the car for 3 weeks, it has absorbed about 200ml of water. In the recent cold weather, it has helped reduce the amount of condensation on the inside of the windscreen.As usual, don't expect miracles. The product is not going to eliminate condensation completely.

Bought this because my 14 year old car had a lot of water inside and the windows were misting up and then freezing on the inside. Within 3 days the windows were clear and after a week I re-weighed the bag and it had absorbed 100g of water. You microwave it for 10 minutes and then let it cool off for 30 minutes and put it back in. So would definitely recommend this if you are having issues with damp windows etc.One small point is to keep an eye on the price, when I bought it it was £6 more expensive then when I'm writing this review 8 days later. So it's even better value now.

The concept is valid, fill a bag full of stuff that absorbs moisture and the bag will stop fogging in the car.In practice, it doesn’t work. In my small car I noticed a lack of fogging in the window about 10cm (5 inch) right next, right next to the bag, but no-where else.I have spent upto 30 mins drying the bag in the microwave, and weighing how much lighter it gets as the moisture evaporates.So I know the bag is dry when I put it in the car. If it has an effect I cant see it

For ages been using non reusable version of these things, 2-3 nights and they are ready for the bin.Tried these out, tossed in threee of um, been in the car for 2 days now and since then not a drop on the inside and my car normally has more moist in it then a fishes rektum. Living where I do moist on the inside is a huge problem, that combined with the dogs bowl of water in the boot and kids wet and muddy boots in and out all day is a nightmare.Had no clue there even was reusable ones, so this is a pleasant surprise.These are going to save me money and time and prevent me having to wipe the inside of wind screen with a bloomin squeegee every morning.
