Harnds Forester Full Tang Fixed Blade Knife with Sandvik 14C28N Blade Bushcraft Tactical Outdoors Hunting Survival and EDC (G10 handle+kydex sheath)

I like the Harnds Forester fixed blade knife. The fit and finish on the knife is very good. The handle is comfortable at least in my hand. It came really sharp. I have not used it enough to know how well the edge will hold up. Do not know what the heat treat or hardness of the blade is. Would be nice if vendor supplied this information. The sheath is really nice great knife retention and it is equipped with an attachment that allows you to r0otate the sheath. So far I am happy with this knife and sheath combination. May not be up to battoning to split kindling, but I have not tried this. Overall I would recommend this knife

I like the knife alot but the clip broke real fast on the kydex sheath other then that its a great knife all around

Bought this during the winter yet to use th8s summer. With the first tent stake creation from a branch, the blade edge 'folded' in one spot. Completely disappointed as I had high expectations for our wilderness camping this summer, fall.

I bought this knife for my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day and he absolutely loves it. He is a knife collector and uses them a lot for various projects or adventuring in the woods. The quality is amazing and it’s really, really sharp (I’m sure his description would be more specific but I’m not well versed in knives)!

This knife is perfect sharp and great grip. Really like the snap sheath. Will be getting another one.

Summary: Moraniv is one of the top end scandi grind knives, and this knife appears to use a lot of the same features, so I will be comparing the two.Observations: I have been collecting high end tactical knives for a while, and one of my sub-collections is scandi grind knives. I have quite a few Moraknivs, both low and high end. The equivalent Morakniv is the Garberg full tang (link below). Both knives are made from Sandvik 14CC28N. While they start with the same base material, what could differ is how the knife was finished, specficially the heat treating. Needless to say, you can have two bakers, who start with the same ingredients, but ends up with vastly different cakes. I do not know what process Harnds uses, but I do know that Morakniv is a world leader.Pros: Good fit & finish; very sharp; nice kydex sheath; nice fit & finish on the G10 handles.Cons: Kydex sheath was a little too tight (going to loosen it up a bit for easier release).Conclusion: At $70, I'm rating this one 4-stars. The Harnds is a well made knife, but for the same price, I would recommend the Morakniv version instead.
