Computer Parts and Components Guide for Beginners: Comprehensive Quick Guide on How to Build a PC

Quick read, quality overview of computer components. Often re read it.

I had great hopes that I could build my first PC in more than a dozen years using this book as a guide, or at least a starting point. I was sorely disappointed and found the "book" to be nearly useless. How the author can honestly call this a "comprehensive" guide is beyond me. No charts, tables, diagrams, or photos. I found that watching an eight-minute YouTube video was much more useful. The book is apparently so bad that even Amazon instructed me to not even bother returning it. I think this is what they call a "vanity book" but this author's vanity is grossly misplaced.

No pictures 😕

I purchased this book for my son, along with a few others, as he is interested in building his own computer. I was utterly dismayed at the lack of information / content. There were no illustrations or pictures. Content seemed to be literally pulled from the generic response from a search engine, copied and pasted into the pages of this book in the largest font possible. Information contained is NOT worth the paper its printed on... ...if I could give zero stars, I would.

Excellent book explaining PC components for beginners

Very good book.

Not one picture, nothing labeled to help a beginner understand. Not even worth my time to return.

Despite being "for beginners", the book itself dosen't help beginners at all. Theres no pictures or drawings to give an idea of what the parts look like, only telling you the name of the part and a short explanation for what it does. For beginners who know nothing about computers, this book dosen't help at all. For people who atleast know the basics, this book dosen't give anything to help the reader as all it is is just a small list of dictionary entrees. The book is also very short and very thin, and feels more like a rushed middle school project more then a book you buy. Absouletly horrible, do not buy.

Just a list of parts, no pictures, so no pictures or diagrams to correlate to. In my opinion no good to a beginner at all, Tech-Heads know what evertthing looks like Beginners do not ,the script is excellent ,with illustrations this would be very good.

The description looks great. The covour looks great. So looking forward to getting this book and reading it. Got the book and found it to be a self published VANITY book, within lies information that I ( as I suspect the author did ) could have got from asking questions on a well known search engine. Amazon, you must say if a book is self published. Not good enough. I was expecting some really informative insite on how I could save some money building my own PC. Still, the " book" came in handy, cut up into little squares in my ....house.

The information contained in this book is very basic and not that helpful.
