Surprised!
I only bought one, just to see if i liked it and it was worth the investment. The handwritten note was a lovely touch - but the hand and wash-ability of this towel, the way it drapes - is outstanding for the price. Ordering more!!!

Hang ‘em high.
These are well made, absorb well, and leave no bits and pieces behind, as too many cotton clothes do.

Best wash cloth ever!
I can use this cloth dry to exfoliate the face after treatments. I wet the cloth and work up a lather with bar soap before I get into the shower. Makes it easy and pleasant to use and more environmentally friendly. I wash it with antibacterial hand soap, then hang it to dry. It dries quickly and completely making it a perfect antibacterial wash cloth that is low maintenance and very pleasant to use. Highly recommend this product.

30% smaller than advertised
It is advertised as 30" x 60" but out of the box it is approximately 28" x 57". After the first wash, performed as indicated by the tag, it was found to measure 24" x 52". By calculation, you will be able to use about 30% less towel than is advertised. It has a natural color, mild exfoliant texture and is very lightweight (read thin). I expect it to be more absorbent and faster drying than it's synthetic microfiber or cotton counterpart as per the other reviews and therefore, best suited to traveling. Another bonus is that it is made in Lithuania. Short term update: It is absorbent enough but not as much as I expected. For the price, I expected better performance or at least a larger towel. Overall, I'd only recommend this towel if you prioritize natural fibers over synthetic, are interested in experimenting with more exotic materials than cotton and prefer to support non-Chinese businesses.Long term update: It's is just enough towel for traveling. It is compact for easy packing and carrying plus absorbs and dries out more quickly than cotton towels. I now enjoy the exfoliant texture and sand doesn't get picked up too bad with it. Changing from 3 stars to 4. I would give it 5 stars if it was the size as advertised. I would recommend to a friend.

Fast drying and absorbent.
I like this towel a lot but more for its natural earthy feel than it’s great travel qualities. It’d be great for a camper or such but compared to the other travel towels it’s a little on the heavy side and rougher on the skin. Having said that, I’m keeping it to use at home because I adore linen both physically and energetically, this towel is just beautiful to me to use and look at! (It’d also make a great table cloth or maybe scarf?)

Light, dries quickly, have ordered more.
I wanted a towel that was better for my fine hair and also good for travel, but didn't want microfiber due to environmental concerns. Tried two different brands for linen, and while I like the other brand for my hair, I love the waffle texture that Thing Stories has for my other towels. I did notice that two out of the three black color mix towels had loose threads in the middle (not the stitched seams) that none of the neutral/natural ones had. The brand was quick to reply, and said the threads could be snipped without any worry for the integrity of the towel, but that they would be happy to replace them if I'd prefer. So, so far, I've been happy with the towels and the brand response. I've just ordered more of the natural color for face and hand towels. I hang dry between showers, and I wash them on gentle with the same shampoo I use on my silk stuff, and I dry them on low in the dryer. I haven't noticed any shrinkage, though I could see it being a problem at higher temperatures. The waffle texture means they don't feel as rough as other new linen, and I think it looks more interesting. The only drawback I can think of is, if you're using them during cold seasons or live in a cold climate, they aren't going to be as nice and warm after a shower as our terry cotton.

New washcloths!
I made the switch to linen washcloths and thin cotton turkish bath towels recently, to cut down on my laundry loads. These washcloths are thin, absorb well, hold soap very well when using (I lather them with bar soap in the shower), and act as a mild exfoliator on my skin. My only criticism is that they shrink a bit after washing, so I wish they were a few inches larger to compensate for that. I recommend these cloths.

An excellent towel for drying hair!!
I originally bought this for a trip, but that trip has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. I initially considered sending back this towel, but it smelled and looked very nice, and was very well presented, so I decided to keep it and try it out for when (if?) the world ever returns to normal.I gave it a 5/ for absorbency. I had shoulder length dreadlocks and have been using this towel to dry my hair after washing at least twice a week since I got it. My hair actually dries the same day now, rather than into the next day, since using this towel! For travelling and lightweight I gave them both a 5/5. I haven't taken it out on any trips because of shelter in place orders, however it DOES pack really small and it air dries really quickly for me here in Colorado. Once it air dries I fold it down and save it for my next hair wash. It could fit into a quart sized ziploc baggie for travel for sure.I've been using this towel exclusively on my hair. Haven't used it for body drying. I'm one of those girls that NEEDS two towels to try off with and have a separate velour towel I've been testing out that I'd also bought for travel.I'm considering downsizing my home towel collection since I've been using my two towels. So that's saying something! I highly recommend this towel, at least as a hair drying travel towel. If they made a bath sheet sized one I'd definitely buy it based on how this one performs.

Useful for traveling
They are indeed lightweight and would be good for gym and outside use. Unfortunately, I had wanted bath towels for home use which was not what I had wanted in these flax linen towels. Still will be useful for sports use as they are really nice and light. Would be easy to pack and they do dry fast. Just not for the purpose I had wanted them for. Had wanted thicker flax linen bath towels for home use.
