The Spice and Herb Bible

I watch a lot of cookery programmes, and I am always amazed at the different Herbs and Spices the Chefs use.I have many cook books, and became interested in the basics, such as the spices, herbs etc.This book I purchased is amazing. It is informative, colourful, and the wealth of knowledge is incredible.I will never need to buy another book on the subject.There are also many recipes as well.The book has an A-Z of spices, where they come from, how they can be used with other herbs in cooking......and much more.I have always wanted a book like this, and I am very happy with this one.

A very large and therefore I think comprehensive book on herbs. In fairly good condition as I bought second-hand. I'm sure this will be educational for me and it has a place on my bookshelf with my cookery books. Thank you.

Interesting useful and well produced book.

This book is amazing! You can find the origins and use of many spices as well as delicious recipes.Also, next to each spice you can find the translation of it in many languages. However the languages of the translations are not consistent for every spice.

Detailed review of all herbs and spices (I know) covering growing, preserving, how to use etc.... Excellent bible on herbs and spices

Worth buying a spice grinder of pestle and mortar. Any avid lover of food / chef and or gardening will love this practical and insightful book.
