I don't know what people where complaining about when it comes to the plastic clips. Both worked just fine. Did not break. Did not have to use the ones from the old latch. Installation went just fine. However, follow the YouTube advice and cut out the fiber glass under the plastic cover, this will make installation 10x easier and you won't cut your hand twice (like I did) trying to take the old one out and then again when putting the new one in. Fixed the issued with my tailgate not latching and problems with the handle not opening as well (the old linkage turned out to be rusty and not moving to latch or unlatch).

Went on well, used the clips that came with it just fine. But after only one day the latch would not open the tailgate with out me having to put my key in to reset the locking rod. After using it like that for a couple weeks it just stopped all together making me have to tear the kids seats out of the back seat, fold down the rear hatch and climb my fat ass through the bed with a flashlight to loosen the two bolts that hold the plastic around the handle. Thank god you can still open it that way otherwise my new keg of lagunitas would still be held hostage by that cheap pos of a handle. I did some modifications on it to make it work while I had it all apart, and while I waited for the beer to settle in the kegorator. I guess you get what you pay for.

Black color just like original. The clips that attach to the rods needed a small amount of thread locker or adhesive of your choice. Otherwise it's a good reasonable price and product.

Can't beat the price, but be prepared to do some modifications to get it to work right. Bolt holes are a perfect match and the function is fine, but the plastic clips to hold the release rods don't hold after a couple days of use. Also on mine I had to do a lot of bending to get the lock lever to function properly. Wasn't difficult to modify to get it to work but if you want a simple swap you're better off getting the GM part.

The Handle arrived as described. The rod retaining clips were of poor quality and one of them broke when attempting to lock it in. I took the clips off of the old handle and reused them. The GM factory clips were made of a better grade plastic and the plastic hinges were much sturdier. The Handle material is of good quality and should last a long time.

Perfect fit. As advertised. No problems. And, last, but not least, it was less money than expected. That's the icing on the cake...

The latch was in good shape, well lubricated, went on quickly. The clips were junk and would not hold the rods when trying to open the tailgate. They just slipped. I took the latch back off and swapped the clips off of the broken latch onto the new one and it worked fine.

Worthless, materials used are not correct measurements, therefore does not open. Even tweaking the placement of rods in plastic cupplings doesn't work. Better off going to junkyard to get a factory one.

Bought this for my avalanche and not even the same one as shown in picture now need to order another one as this one does not fit.....
