Welcome to Blue Moon...you're going to love it!
Are you ready to fall in love with Blue Moon? You better buckle up...it’s going to be an amazing ride. For me, the ride started with Mr. Fixer Upper, but I am so glad it didn’t end there. Blue Moon is a fantastic place! Carter and Summer from No More Secrets are perfectly imperfect! You will love them first, but by the end, you will love the whole town. If not, you have no business reading. (Okay, maybe that is a bit harsh, but really I don’t know how you wouldn’t love them!)Carter and Summer meet when Summer visits Carter’s farm to write a piece on organic farming for her fashion magazine. She loves the feel good stories about “improving the world we live in” that get thrown in every issue and is working her way to the top. Carter is a vet who returned from Afghanistan damaged, but not broken. He enjoys his life of solitude (or at least as close as you can get to it in Blue Moon) and just wants to take care of his family farm. He has no interest in fashion or fame, but he quickly develops an interest in Summer. Throughout the story, the two obviously connect, but they both have pasts that are holding them back. While Carter has overcome most of his trauma after the war with the help of his family and the residents of Blue Moon Bend, Summer has a very limited support system, and the community factor in Blue Moon is a welcome surprise, but will it be enough for her to move on and embrace happiness? Could Carter be all she really needs?Carter is a hero in every way. He is good and loyal. He is strong and faithful. He is as sexy as they come. He is such a hard worker. When he returned home with PTSD, he dedicated his time and energy to running the family farm. He is passionate about his work and his family. While he has overcome most of his trauma, he still tends to keep people at a distance. However, he is a man who believes in signs, and with Summer they are too much to ignore. He is patient when Summer needs time to catch up and he is ready to give her a push when she lets herself get in the way. His fierce protectiveness and overall goodness and strength won me over from the very beginning. His is a big gruff, but he is the epitome of hot farmer. He gets Summer in a way no one else can.Summer is a feisty city girl who takes pride in standing on her own two feet. She is so fiercely independent while trying to make it to a senior editor position, and yet farm life seems to agree with this city girl. She isn’t afraid of hard work, and she seems to enjoy getting dirty on the farm. Even when Carter gives her terrible jobs, she refuses to give up. She even falls in love with the animals and becomes a vegetarian. However, there is a bit of mystery surrounding Summer and her past that isn’t revealed until late in the book. While I was fairly certain I knew where it was going, I was dying to find out if I was right. While Summer was in love with Carter, the Pierces, farm life and Blue Moon in general, something was holding her back. However, that didn’t stop her from being there for Carter, from being his protector and his rock in his time of need. I loved that she was strong and passionate. I loved that she embraced Blue Moon and everything it stood for. I also loved that she was willing to put others above herself, even if she did need to learn to let others in.All the Pierces play such a key role in this story, and you will fall in love with each and every one of them. The way they band together and are there for one another makes them incredible. When the going gets tough, they show up. Phoebe is a strong, independent woman who will clearly do anything for her boys, but she is still such a dynamic character with problems of her own. These brothers, Carter, Beckett and Jackson are all so different from one another, but their love for one another and family in general was so evident. They give so much more than lip service. When things needed done or one of them was going through a tough time, their actions spoke louder than any words could. I was also so fascinated by Jackson and Joey in this story! They drew me in, and I couldn’t wait to find out their backstory. The town of Blue Moon Bend is almost a character of its own. The people are so unique in this hippie town, and they each add so much to the story. I was just as drawn to the sense of community as Summer. The residents of Blue Moon Bend were there to support one another through thick and thin. Whether it was supporting an injured veteran who has returned to town, helping an injured farmer, or supporting one another at the farmers market, they were there for each other. They wanted the best for everyone. Blue Moon Bend made this such a happy book to escape with.Overall, this book was fantastic. The characters were so multifaceted and real. The town was amazing and made me want it to be real. The writing was funny and smart while the romance was hot. My only complaint? This book completely ruined my book schedule and TBR list. Once I finished, I HAD to read the next...and the next...you get my drift. Be ready to stick around a while once you start, because I certainly didn’t have the willpower to leave. An extra bonus? This book is currently free for Kindle Unlimited subscribers. This book does contain sex, but it is not vulgar in the least.

Great start!
Great start to this series. I totally enjoyed the main characters, as well as the background characters. Story line was great. Quirky town, quirky people, and one very naughty goat made me laugh numerous times.

Can I move to Blue Moon?
“And then I realized that me hating him was no different than him hating me. Fighting hate with hate gets you nowhere.”This little book — at just 300 pages — hit me harder than most 700+ pages reads. It touched every corner of my soul and made me question so many things. Too many.Just like Carter and Summer, Lucy Score’s writing had this pull on me from the start. I hadn’t even finished Things We Never Got Over and I already knew I had to read her entire backlog. But it’s a little hard to choose which book to read next. And if I’m honest, choosing No More Secrets was a bit unconventional. I pulled up the blurb after seeing the cover. This red barn was the reason. Why? Because there’s a barn by me that looks exactly like this. I wonder if they also have a cute pig? Hard pass on the jeans eating-goat, though 👀Summer felt so real. And so relatable. I couldn’t adore her more if I tried. Carter was the vegan farmer hero I didn’t know I needed. And his brothers *sigh* I hope the next books in this series of interconnected standalones are about Beckett and Jackson. 🥹But if I had to highlight one thing about this story, it would be Blue Moon. This small town was a character on its own and shone brighter than any star in the sky. I want a Blue Moon. I was a Peace of Pizza and a farmer’s market that takes over the town. I want a Facebook gossip page (ok, maybe not a Facebook gossip page 👀).All of this to say: read it.What’s inside:🖤small town romance🖤big city girl, farm boy🖤insta-attraction (trust me, it’s perfect!)🖤force proximity🖤found family🖤love after traumaAdult. 5 stars ⭐️

I think I need me a fit farmer…
Never has the world of organic farming, sustainability and vegetarianism been so utterly sexy. I could quite happily move to the country and live the simple life if every farmer was like Carter Pierce. This being book one in the series, I’m hoping that we get to hear more about this delectably delicious farmer and his girl, Summer in the following instalments. I’m also predicting that we follow the lives of the two other Pierce brothers. So, the basic premise of the story is the turning point in the life of stunningly beautiful fashion and lifestyle journalist Summer Lenz. Bored and frustrated with the high-end world of fashionistas, artists and stick-thin models, Summer is hoping to put her own spin on Indulgence magazines lifestyle section through writing about real people. She’s fed up writing what her advertisers want her to promote as the next big thing, and so heads out to a small town community, Blue Moon Bend to do a story on an agricultural farm and it’s inhabitants. What she didn’t reckon on was the owner of the farm looking like he’d be more at home on the cover of a glossy fashion magazine instead of being gloriously dirty. He’s ruggedly handsome and despite his initially guarded personality they hit it off quickly after she earns his respect by casting off her designer gear and getting her hands dirty.Of course, it’s obvious that Summer and Carter are going to end up having a few rolls in the hay… and their love making is certainly hot enough to cause a few fires. But it’s not as easy as just jumping into his bed and talking about forever, because for Summer, there’s an underlying fear that is holding her back from thinking about how perfect a future could be with the man of her dreams. Dreams she didn’t even realise she had.Carter is just the sweetest, most caring partner for Summer - and although deep down she knows that he is perfect for her, the fear that nestles in her gut makes her worry that she and Carter can’t have the future that he so clearly sees for them. All she needs to do is trust him and let him in - but if she does, could she give up the career she has envisioned for herself? And does she even want the same things anymore? Carter, his family, the farm and the eclectic eccentric residents of Blue Moon have planted themselves firmly in her heart. Now she has figure out where she needs to be.Great start to what I know is going to be a fantastic series. Love this couple so much and the epilogue is awesome… (what goat? LOL) I also can’t wait to meet Jax and Beckett a little more too with the books to follow.Loved it.

Sweet and organic
I enjoyed reading this small town romance about family, community and fast love. Carter and Summer's relationship was sweet and steamy, they were both likeable characters and I enjoyed following their progression throughout the story.I give this story 4 stars as we learn more about Carter's background than Summer, so her big secret didn't hit hard as it should have. It felt like it was use just to bring drama to the relationship for the final chapters of the book.A good start to the series I am looking forward to reading more about Blue Moon, its residents and the Beautification Committee also the other gorgeous Pierce brothers. If you like small town romance with not too much complex drama this is for you.Solid 4 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Disappointing
I thought this book a romantic rom com & I did not find it funny at all, this book delt with more serious issues than a fun light entertainment which to be honest is what I was expecting.I have read previous books by this author which I did find to be funny. This book was an ok read & but I felt like I had more questions on summer, why does she not have any friends only a man she has known 3 year & how she was cured in 6 month of treatment & how could still work while getting said treatment. I felt that there was afew holes in this story hence why the 2 star rating. So if you are expecting a rom com romance don't read this book

Another great first book to a series by Lucy
After reading all the Bootleg Springs books I decided to start this series to get me out of the book hangover I was experiencing. Suffice to say that although Bootleg will remain a part of me, I think this series will too. Carter and Summer's story was not what I expected. I laughed and swooned and found myself wanting to read more to find out what happened next. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next books in this series :)

A romance to make you laugh and cry
This book had everything, and I laughed out loud so much, but I also cried, and I didn't want the book to end. An emotional rollercoaster, with worries and fears we can all identify with. Very well written and easy to read.
