This book is brilliant, a real page-turner. Book 1 in a series I can't wait to read. I would highly recommend

Really enjoyed book 1 however I did feel like everything was rushed over 2 days (not literally 2 days) Beckett got out of prison and was soon madly in love with Mia, avenging Clays death and then they married. I don’t like slow burners but this felt fast forward. Maybe it’s how I read it…. Anyway onto book 2 :)

This is the first book in a exciting new series. The series is about the Brooks siblings as they find love amidst life threatening danger.This first book is about Beckett who has spent 10 years in jail for killing his best friend, Clay.At his parole meeting, he is shocked to see Mia, Clay's little sister. Everyone thought she had died in the same incident.There is an instant chemistry and attraction between them. What will happen when she discovers the truth about what occurred that sad day?There are secrets galore in this book. The storyline grips you and the attention is kept in the page.I really want to read the stories of the rest of the siblings. There is an underlying storyline that continues in each story so I would recommend reading the books in order to understand why things happen.Fantastic book and we'll written.

Kiss of Redemption is the first book in the "Together we Stand"series about the Brooks family by Maggie Cole and it really sets the series up well. After being framed for his best friend Clays murder and spending 10 years in prison, Beckett finally gets released on parole with vengeance on his mind. Clay's sister Mia has returned from the dead and is determined to re-enter island life. Seeing each other again after so long, their emotions run high and sparks fly. Theirs is a whirlwind romance set amidst a storm of secrets but their kiss brings them the redemption they both seek. A great opening to the series which leaves you looking forward to Ryland's story. If you like small town romances then you will love this book!

Loved the main characters and the general plot. Sometimes the dialogue was rushed and not sure I would be as understanding as Mia. Not amazing book but decent enough.

Mia aged 13/14 always admired Beckett from afar after all it was her older brothers best friend & she was friends with Becketts sister.Mia & Gabrielle tag along with the lads to the beach bonfire.There life changes for everyone!!Fast forward 10years later the story of that night slowly unfolds while Mia & Beckett finally give in to their feelings.Thrills n spills of excitement, vengeance & intrigue, love & passion and a lovely happily ever after ending.

Such a heart rending story, 2 broken souls finding their way amidst deceit and danger. The lies in the past gradually return to her as she remembers what happened- can he protect her ?? Can he keep her safe ??? WOW --- I absolutely loved this story ❤️ !!!!!

This author was new to me, and I loved this series. It was a mixture of badass and angst with a cliffhanger at the end but the other book is available so no waiting to catch up speed. Team Beckett and Mia all the way.It was an easy 5 star from me.

Purchased a Paperback copy***This was a really good story that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end.Beckett and Mia are great characters that take you on an amazing roller coaster ride, trying to find the truth about what happened to Mia's brother Clay.

Oh, WoW! What a beautiful, romantic, intense, story. It was so GREAT to read through this Love story and all that Beckett & Mia went through to finally end up together. I’ve just ordered the other 5 books. Thank you

Well this story starts off sad, then hope, then dangerous and happily ever after.Another one of Maggies books to sink your teeth into

This is the first book in a series. Each book deal with a different member of the Brooks family (there are 6 of the, 4 boys and 2 girls). This first book (Kiss of Redemption) is Becket Brooks and Mia Crimson's story and sets the stage for the back story that runs through each book.Beckett was convicted for the murder of his best friend, Clay, a crime he didn't commit. The story opens as Beckett is appearing before the parole board after having served 10 of his 15 yr sentence. He is shocked to discover Mia, Clay's sister at the hearing as he'd been told she died of a bullet would she received that same night. Beckett was set up for the murder by the people who actually commuted it and told if he wanted to keep his family safe he would keep his mouth shut.Mia survived the bullet would she received that might but initially couldn't remember what happened. Raised by her grandparents, she is sent away to boarding school and told she must never come back because it is safe for her there anymore...but she is never told why it isn't safe. Her grandparents have passed and as the only living relative of the victim she received notice of the parole hearing. Seeing Becket again at the hearing she suddenly has an audio memory ..she beats him yelling at her to get down. That is the first of many memories that return to her.Every few chapters there is a chapter of last events that slowly reveal not only what happened the night of the night of Clay's murder, but also what led up to it and who was involved. Mia never believed Beckett was capable of killing Clay, but wonders why he never denied it. As her memories return and truths are revealed, it becomes clear the bad guys are aware that Mia knows and are coming after her. It it up to Beckett and his brothers to protect her.There are some unexpected twists involving Mia and her brother's muderer. The gang he ruled was known as the Twisted Hearts. After reading the synopsis in the subsequent books it is apparent that they continue to have affects on the Brooks family and appear in other family members stories.I bought this book because it took place on Anna Maria Island, about 30 min from where I grew up and I spent many summers there so I thought it would be fun to read about places I'd been. Sadly there wasn't a lot of detailed descriptions of places although a few places were mention like Holmes Beach and Coquina Beach...been there. Still it turned out to be a pretty good story. There were a couple of things that seemed conflicting or a little confusing and that was the ages of Becket and Mia the numbers didn't always move but it was only off by a year so I just allotted for birthdays not having taken place yet in the particular year referenced. The other was regarding virginity...particularly with Beckett...the first time he and Mia have a sexual encounter and she tells him she's me st done this before and he says "me either" and you think 'okay..he was in high school when he went to prison and he just got out'....but then you read about his hook-ups in high school. I just over looked it and kept on going, because in truth, the story got better as it went along. Looking forward to reading the others in the series, but might wait until price drops ($4.99 as right now) or I get enough points for freebies.

All I can say is that... From the first word to the last, I was hooked. Kiss of Redemption was a wild ride, fast paced, action packed, funny, romantic, sizzling sex, throw in a side of danger and a family dynamic thicker than blood, and right from the book together we stand, alone we fall, those words couldn’t ring any truer.The need for revenge an obsession, a need for the truth so painful, ignites into something more, the fears, the doubts, were they both ready to let there guards down, take the risk for there future, if only they could overcome there past, would it bring them together, or tear them apart, burning them from the inside out all for the sake of there love for each other? Then YESDenying there attraction to one another was hard, it was seductive, sensual, suspenseful but also fun, but when they came together it was electrifying. The way they loved each other, there love provocative, the romance heartwarming and beautiful, there love so passionate, they desire each other above all else.The truths, the lies, the trust and betrayal of friends that were family, lead to the past colliding with the present, the emotional turmoil that Beckett and Mia experienced was raw as it was powerful, the need to want to protect her overwhelming, the need to trust to move forward could not be more important. And when all of it was exposed, it was exhilarating, the twists and turns, how they were each tested before getting the closure they so deserved.The way Beckett and Mia’s relationship developed and grew, they begun to learn about each other, building there trust, forging a shared path that will see them both achieve and succeed with the same goals in there shared life.And those s€x scenes in the bedroom were very intimate, hot, raw, powerful, passionate, deliciously dirty, oh so steamy, wicked, beautiful, hot, wet and wild, and there happily every after is what any reader would wish for.This author clearly knows how to hook and ensnare her readers to ensure they come back for more, me I’ll definitely come back for more from this author for sure! The different points of view told a telling story, all connected very well, the characters were very well written, it made it so easy for the reader to totally immerse themselves, to get lost in the entirety of the story. Can’t wait to see where these character are at in the next book.
