Works great!
I have found it much quicker and more controllable than a screwdriver.

Life Saver!
When I decided to reupholster my dining room chair seats, I had no idea that the biggest challenge I would face was taking out the old staples! I tried everything, but they were in so tightly that they were really difficult to remove. After a quick internet search, I found out about various tools made just for this task. I chose this one because, in addition to removing staples, it can also be used to take out brads or small nails. What a difference having the right tool makes!! I had spent over an hour prying out staples with a screwdriver and hammer on just one seat, but once this arrived I was able to strip a seat clean in about 15 minutes! I used it on 7 chair seats, plus to remove a few errant staples during the installation of the new upholstery, and it did exactly what it's supposed to do. One of the best investments I've ever made!

Very useful tool
Take care not to injure yourself with pointed end. I recommend use only for teardown and demolition. Otherwise, an excellent tool for staple removal.

Tool is perfect for the task!
Just removed about a million staples from an old chair. Couldnโt have done it without this tool! Tips are sharp and can dig into the wood to get under the staples. Absolutely could not have done the job with a screwdriver and a hammer like I used to use! Always point the tool away from you and your other hand!

Must buy for removing carpet staples
Replacing carpet with hardwood so I had the dreaded task of ripping up all of the staples. I remembered doing this at my old house and it being brutal, so I had to find a better way. That is when I found this tool. I've already removed the carpet from one room and the ease of taking staples up with this compared to pliers/screwdriver method was night and day. It got my staples up like a hot knife through butter. Now, your mileage may vary depending on the staples used and the floor. The staples in my new house seemed somewhat small (not sure if any smaller than previous times) and they were being removed from 3/4" plywood. The last time I had to remove staples it was from solid oak floors that had been covered up, I do not know if that made a difference. What I can say for sure though is that this tool took these staples up with so little effort, that I would highly recommend this to anyone at least to try it out.

The real tool
The end of this is really sharp and hard. It will bend if you drop it. And some reviewers said it may bend if you abuse it. I gather you mainly should tap it under the staple rather than push and pry. I dug all the stables out of a chair and a screen door with old rusty staples and hard wood with help of a hammer. Many imbedded in the wood. There's no way to get them out without scratching stuff. But it makes short work of it. I didn't bend the points until I dropped it on concrete. But I sharpened it back up.
