I keep it in the chicken coop for cleaning and it's very rigid plastic, strong, and lid seals tightly, but is vented. It's a bit expensive, but it does work well for me. 13 gallon trash bags fit it nicely.

I bought 2 of these. They are perfect to store my chicken feed, scratch and dried larvae for my Serama chickens. Seals tight and each one will hold a 50lb bag of feed, scratch or larvae. Makes it easier to take care of all my chicken foods. Sure they will be a great trash can too. Would recommend.

Sturdy, heavy duty container. The lid fit is exceptionally tight, it's never going to blow off.Purchased this to make a chicken feeder with. After receiving it, decided it was too nice to put holes in the side. This is one, well, like the title of the review says, cute can. Could see manufacturing these in smaller sizes, automatic opening lids, and so on. Of course, everyone must realize by now I do not live in a Manhattan apartment, but this container works perfectly in a workshop or garage.

This is a nice sized, very durable container. I've fashioned it into a pre-filter for a rainwater catchment system by opening entry and exit holes in the top and bottom. The only thing I disliked about it was the extremely, tightly secured lid. It was nearly impossible to remove and I had to do a little creative filing on the retaining tabs. Other than that, top notch!

Solid quality - only difficulty is getting the lid off.TIP: if you push the lid handle up at a 90° angle (pushes the top of the lid inward) it comes off much easier. I’ve liked it much better since figuring out that trick and the quality is good where it hasn’t damaged the lid by doing this or shown any signs of wear yet.

Bought this smaller size can for the pellets that go on my Traeger pellet grill. The detail on the lid that doesn't allow water to pool is great. The strong snap on the lid in really nice for preventing the animals from opening it.Great purchase!
