Works with Motor Oil
I pumped 5W40 Synthetic Diesel motor oil from a 5 gallon container (cheaper that way) into a smaller 5 quart container with no problem. Just kept pumping about 15 or so Pump's. Better than pouring it out without the mess. Works great for transferring Diesel fuel as well.

Excellent value for the money!!!!
Terapump TRDP15, Excellent Siphon PumpThis is not my first Terapump TRDP15. I ordered my first in 2014. The first recently gave up from age and mis-use. When it first arrived I attempted to take it apart, only to find it is heat fused together. I did my best to put it together with fuel line sealant, but after two years it started to loose suction. Its a fantastic device for the money. I also have one of the cheap $5-8 siphon's from the local box store. The cheapie doesn't hold a candle to the speed and ease of operation of this siphon. The secret: larger, longer tubes.I've not timed the flow, but if it doesn't do 5 gallons in a minute it's darn close to it.I use it mainly to refill my generator with gasoline. As some might know if the generator stops unexpectantly the peanut gallery starts looking for someone to kill. I know how much fuel we use, keep an eye an the clock, let everyone know we'll be without power while I refill and all is slightly better. The peanut gallery is unhappy but not murderous. This device makes it faster and easier to refuel. Pouring fuel on a hot generator is downright stupid. My TRDP15 is the smart safe way to refuel. As long as I don't rush I don't miss a drop. Safer and cleaner. The instruction quickly go over the secret to safe operation. When you press the button on top, do so a bit before you want flow to stop. Those larger hoses hold a bit of fluid. Press before you want it to stop AND hold the button down till the exit tube is empty.Good luck. Be safe.

Works absolutely great - once you figure it out!
It's a great siphon once you work out how to use it. Problem is, there aren't any instructions with it. Here's what I came up with:1) Stick end of rigid tube into container of liquid you want to siphon out.2) Cover flexible tube outlet with thumb of one hand. Wear a rubber glove for fluids you don't want skin contact with, or use a cork or something similar to temporarily block it.3) With other hand, use one finger to press down on button valve on top of squeeze bulb and then squeeze the bulb with remaining fingers/thumb.4) Release button valve first, then release squeeze bulb. Some liquid will be sucked up and transferred into the flexible tube.5) Keeping the flexible tube outlet blocked with thumb or whatever else, repeat steps 3 & 4 until flexible tube is completely full of liquid.6) Place end of flexible tube into target container, keeping it below the level of the end of the rigid tube, and then remove the thumb or whatever you've been blocking it with.7) Liquid should then siphon quickly from the source container to the target. To stop the siphoning at any time while it's transferring, press and hold the button valve.

PERFECT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been heating house with k1 & firewood for over 20 years. Transferring k1 from large containers to smaller ones has always been very messy, and have spilt a lot of my valuable k1. I got this in just a few days after I ordered. Tried it out right away. 1st try I made a little mess because I filled container and did not allow for extra in syphon to drain. I filled 20 containers after that with out 1 drop waisted. Wish I would have had this over all these past years. It syphons so fast that I do not use it to syphon directly into heaters ( even though I could because hoses fit ). Very glad I bought one without batteries for 2 reasons .1 do not have to buy batteries. 2 I feel I have more control of the flow to fill containers exactly were I want to. What used to be an hour or 2 job with a big mess to clean up, I just finished in less than 10 min. with no mess. So-o-o-o easy to use. Thinking of picking up more to use for other things - like siphon h2o of large canner instead of lifting heavy pot, or ? uses can be endless. If it isn't as great after using for a while, I will up date review. But for now I think it is great and would recommend to anyone. Get the blue one and check prices - they really vary - I ordered for $7.99 +free shipping. K1 is $4.50 gal here - paid for it's self in 1 use. doesn't come with instuctions - but just put hoses in containers and squeeze. Seems quality like it will hold up, and does not leak .

Great Siphon Pump
Simple product but very useful. I had a push gas mower that lasted 18 years and would still be going strong if it didn't start rusting away and throwing shrapnel at me. I drained the tank every year and it never failed to start immediately next season. After hurricane Sandy I purchase a generator and want it to last. Rather that add a fuel stabilizer I would rather keep the tank dry. I will run it a few times every spring, summer and fall. It was too full to run dry so I bought this TRDP15 Heavy Duty Liquid Transfer Pump and it worded as advertised. Got most of the gas out and only had to run it a short time to empty the tank.I also have a bad back so it is also good for transferring gas to a lighter tank or directly into the generator. Can also be used to drain a fish tank (use a separate pump-gas residue not good for fish) or drain water from a swimming pool cover or many other draining or transfer situations. This pump is much safer than trying to created suction be using you mouth and very inexpensive.

Does t fit a barrel
This does not fit the across hole of a 55 gallon barrel it’s not even close 1/2 inch estimated difference in diameter.
