DEWBU Soft Shell Heated Jacket for Men with 12V Battery Pack and Detachable Hood Outdoor Electric Heating Coat

The jacket itself is a nice quality jacket. Fit a little smaller than expected based off of the size chart. The reason I gave this jacket a 2 star is because the heat element is awful. It states that on high it gets to 131°F. After leaving the coat on high for over 20 minutes, the heat patches were barely warm to the touch. Very disappointing product and will be returning. If you want a heated element of this jacket is important to you, do not go with this one.Addition:The seller reached out to me because I was dissatisfied. They sent me a new warmer jacket. I have not been able to test the heating element yet. But the customer service was great. They were very helpful

The jacket is rugged and looks like it will hold up well while I'm working on my vehicles out in the garage. I haven't had to use the heat yet, the weather in New England has been fairly mild this year. I did try it to make sure it works and it seemed fine but it wasn't cold so we'll see.One of the things that struck me about this jacket is that the zipper tab is on the left side - more typical of a women's jacket than a men's. Not a huge deal just a minor annoyance that doesn't effect form, fit, or function. I'll try to post an update after I've used the jacket and the heating aspect. I did wear it on a rainy day and it kept me completely dry so there's that.UPDATE:New England got some cold weather in the form of a near blizzard with temps as low as -8F. I wore this thing with only the typical NE t-shirt and long sleeve t and was plenty warm for the few hours I was out there in that god forsaken weather. Tell you what. Put it on and turn it on about 5-10 minutes before heading out to the cold and it'll feel like the cold isn't there at all! It's pretty amazing. One day I even had to turn it to low because I was almost too warm! Almost :D. This jacket kept me warm and dry the whole time I was outside.Possible improvements: Put some heating in the hand-level pockets! And maybe on the outer side of the pockets! The chest elements are too high to warm your hands!!! I have Raynauds Syndrome so this is key for me, might not be so important for a "normal" person but for me, keeping my hands warm is extremely important and difficult.All in all, this is an amaziing jacket, I've recommended to a few friend that have purchased based upon my advice adn they're pretty happy with it too. Even with the minor annoyance of the zipper on the "wrong" side. BUY IT!!! Stop freezing yourself!!P.S. I'll be purchasing the fleece hoodie as soon as it's available in men's medium - I have that much confidence in tDewbu's products (though it'll still annoy me if the zipper is on the "wrong" side :)

Well first thing be sure you pick the correct jacket :) I don't take anything off there since it was my fault. It seems they have 2 jackets almost identical. The one I was looking at first had velcro patches on the arms, and an extra zippered pocket on one arm. It's not a huge difference but other than those 2 things they are identical, I liked the extra pocket in arm. I had the one ordered but than, this one went on sale $30 cheaper so grabbed it.This is my first heated jacket so I didn't know what to expect. When I put it on I felt the heat in my arms first, than the chest and back. It's a nice warming heat kind of slow coming on. But at the same time you start feeling it in like 10 seconds, it's quick. But don't expect it to be like jumping in a fire :) I went to place to order a cheesesteak, but I forgot to turn off the jacket while inside waiting. The jacket was on low, but the next thing I knew I was feeling really warm, I was about to start sweating. Than I remembered turn off the jacket :) So while the full heat might not be instant, it doesn't take very long to get comfortable.Now I haven't been out in the cold for long yet. I will update more to this review later.One thing I do want to add, even prior to receiving the jacket I received an email from the company wanting to make sure everything goes smoothly with the order. Also to let them know if anything is missing, or if I have any problems. That's was a nice touch, and to me it only shows they will stand behind their product. Hopefully I'll never need to reach out to them but glad to know I can.Recommended change to jacket:Create a small pass through hole from the inside battery pocket to the outside pocket. Just like the pass through for the battery cable to the battery pocket. Since the inside battery pocket already has a pass through, only need one more on outside pocket to complete passing a cable through. That small and cheap change would make charging a cell phone or other device easier from the outside pocket.

This thing is amazing!Fits a little loose on me, but that’s okay. If I combine this with a hoodie underneath and some thermal pants under my regular pants, then I never need to go inside (for about 10 hours). Battery charges in just a few hours, then there are hours of heat. My hands don’t even get cold because of the heating elements in the arms! Once the button is hit, I quickly feel the heat within minutes! The insulation of this jacket is impressive even without the heating elements on.I was pleasantly surprised with how good the Olive Drab color looks on me. It’s not the black I wanted, but it’s really not bad.I highly recommend this product and already have to many. People can’t wait to try my jacket on either.
