The Exiled: Anne Trilogy Book Two

Very well written
"The Innocent", Posie Graeme-Evans first story about Anne, was amazing. I was drawn into the storyline from the first page. When I realized Anne's story would have two more books, I was thrilled . . . . . . but a little worried. Sometimes the second or third book in a trilogy will lose some of the 'excitement' of the first book's plot. Not so here! If anything, "The Exiled" had more suspense and, of course, romance than "The Innocent". The author's style of writing and attention to detail paints a vivid picture for the reader.I chose to order the book second hand as I am used to trading books with friends. It was labeled in "good" condition. I would have called it 'very good condition'.

An enjoyable mix of action and adventure!
.....with a pinch of romance. In this sequel to The Innocent, Anne, fleeing from her dangerous love affair with the King, tries to establish herself as a merchant in a new country. The male merchant's don't take kindly to this upstart of a women presuming to do business as their equal. But Anne has other more deadly enemies to worry about...and a new even more precious secret to keep safe.I enjoyed this sequel. Anne de Bohn is a character I don't get tired of reading about. It's got lots more suspense, adventure, and sub-plots than the first book. I'm glad there's a third book as there is unfinished business left here.

Some history with a spoonful of sugar
I like this trilogy. The first volume had some extreme violence, but not this one. The history is fairly accurate, but the author doesn't bog one down in it. Anne is a believable character, although, I believe, fictional: at least as far as I could discern. And it's a very good love story as well. All in all, a good read. Not quite beach reading, as it requires some thought.

Loved this author and book
Hi, this book is a fab account of Anne's journey after leaving court. Loved the sensuality and interwoven historical facts I learned about the French court. You can Really feel her plight and the unexpected help Anne Gets throughout. Author succedes in putting "us" into this plot line in this and the her preceding novel. This author and her historical accuracy Rock! I can't wait for part # 3.

Good book
I really enjoyed this book. I have yet to read the third in this trilogy but I found the first two entertaining and fairly quick reads. I wouldn't say it was the best book I ever read but it was worth the time I spent on it.
