Tolerances were intolerant.
As other reviewers have stated, the tolerances on these are just wow.... uffff... well... intolerant.Look at the photos, the thickness of the tiny little steel nub(less than 1/8 of an inch or 3mm) is basically your tolerances for error. EXCEPT, it’s about half that because with only about half the thickness of this nub which is supposed to catch the soft close mechanism, it will not work. My guess, it needs a good portion of this nub(more than half) to catch the soft close portion on the other half of the slides(made of soft plastic) for all mechanisms to work. TLDR: half the thickness of this little steel nub in the picture is your actual tolerance for error. Fiddly is an understatement.Example? I used 4 sheets of soda can cardboard to get my last drawer to work. You know the cardboard sheets that soda comes in to shim. Two sheets on each side to get one drawer working. 4 sheets is likely 2 mm all together maybe. 2-3 millimeters!!!!Imagine wood warpage. Imagine not being square by the smallest fraction of a degree. In other words, unless you have factory machine built cabinets, do NOT expect these slides to work for you unless you are willing to shim. I learned the hard way....I made 2 drawer sets. After the disaster that was the first(which I managed to get working but “wadant purty” I tell ya. I used everything in my power to make the second drawer set square and perfect as I could make. Still needed four sheets of that soda can cardboard, two sheets on each side to get one of the drawers to close and shut reliably. Literally- less than 2 millimeter tolerance. If I stuck one more sheet, likely the friction would start making them feel off and stiff. The cardboard shims are so thin, you can’t even tell they are there with a casual glance, and yet they were the difference between the slides working or crashing half way with a thud. Imagine how bad my first set of drawers turned out. But yeah, somehow with a nightmare of shims I got that working - sorta, kinda.Wow, was a pain.Remember also because these are drawer slides(I probably only installed 3 or 4 times in my life and every time I somehow forget how much of a headache drawers are in general and how much I hate them and think, “oh this will be easy” - no), your 0.5 millimeter mistake will be amplified on both sides to many times that mistake. And then it’s not just your thickness mistake but the angle and squareness which gets amplified again the larger your drawer, even more. In other words that 0.5 mm mistake that is within human error to make at one corner will end up all too easily being 3-4mm by the time it’s done on the opposite corner. And then voila!!!!! - These slides will kick your rear. Do NOT even think about installing more than one drawer on top of another. If you want to use these, I’d really strongly urge no drawers on top of one another. Separate each drawer with dividers(perfectly warp free dimensionally sound dividers), thank me later.Pros on the other hand? They’re cheapest soft close slides I could find. And once works, is ok. Now to go fix all the holes I punched in the walls trying to get these to work.

Ok value, will try something else to replace these.
16" soft-close full ext. drawer slides. These Promark slides are one hell of a good deal. Like other reviews, I experienced alignment difficulty since the soft-close feature is extremely unforgiving when it comes to squareness of the build. That said, once set up correctly they are GREAT for the money. I built the chest of drawers I installed these on and ensured squareness, building the drawers to 1-1/16th inch under to accommodate the required 1" clearance plus a 1/16th" play. The issue with the soft-catch mechanism I had was that, on a couple drawers, upon closing initially, the catch pin (drawer side) would engage the rotating C-clip (frame side), but on extension the drawer-side slide racked one way or the other allowing the pin to bypass the C-clip. At that point, the drawer would close almost fully but the soft-close feature was inoperative because the C-clip remained in the closed position with the open area of the "C" pointing down instead of horizontal. With this scenario, the pin on the drawer side cannot engage the C-clip to engage the soft-close mechanism. The fix may be difficult without removing the whole slide if used on a mounted cabinet. Since my chest of drawers has a removeable rear panel, I had access to the rear of the drawer slide. Looking at the mechanism from the rear allowed me to close the drawer until the pin rested against the C-clip and, with rearward closing pressure, use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the drawer side away from the frame to allow the pin to clear the "C" and drop into that "C" when releasing the screwdriver. Shimming where necessary to make sure the pin will no longer bylass the C-clip is crucial. Now my drawers work as intended and all soft-close mechanisms survived the initial unintended abuse they took while I was troubleshooting.I took off a star only due to the sensitive nature of that soft-close actuator. These are not as forgiving as their non-soft-close versions as those are VERY EASY to install. The pin on these could be longer and/or C-clip could be thicker to help with proper function where the frame/drawer are not perfectly square. This all said, I will not hesitate to purchase these slides again for my next build which will be a full dresser.***UPDATE***These served us fine after the troublesome install. We just saw the one slide separated due to the metal bending and ball bearing retainer falling out. These work for a time but I dont see how they are rated for 100lbs. Maybe 30 lbs at best for long term repeated use.
