Just what we needed!
Bought this collar for our greyhound and we love it! Due to the size and shape of the greyhounds head, we have to use a rather wide martingale collar that has a very large D-ring. Not only is the D-ring large enough to get caught on things and present a choking hazard, but the large size of the collar itself was rubbing off what little hair our guy had on his neck. The adoption agency recommended use of a tag collar and removal of the martingale while at home, so I started searching for one of those and came across this one!The collar is perfect for tags when the dog is just hang around the houser, or out and about. It's easy enough to adjust to the correct size, but no slippery such that it changes size on its own. We can leave it on with the martingale or even a harness if we so choose due to the lightweight nature of it. It also does not interfere with either of those options. The sliders are covered in a rubber, which makes the whole collar easy on the dog's neck too.

Wonderful collar, recommended
The skinny: Delightfully lightweight and thin collar for my furry pup. Recommended.I walk my 2yr old, fluffy 27# spitz mix on a halter, so I was looking for a thin collar to hold his tags that wouldn't interfere. This collar perfectly fit the bill. It's small and thin (thinner than a pencil), but made out of a sturdy material that doesn't feel like it'll tear or fray easily. From looking at the picture, I was a little afraid that it would be more like a friendship bracelet, but it's sturdier than that. It's easy to adjust, but not so easy that the dog can do it, and the material is (like the seller says) a mountain rope, not a bungee cord. That's random, I know, but I thought I'd include that anyway just in case anyone was wondering. All in all, I LOVE this collar. It's exactly what I was looking for, and my little guy isn't bothered by it at all. And the medium fits perfectly, with room to spare. I'm giving it a well-deserved five stars.Notes: My dog isn't a real big chewer (only human fingers and food :p ), and he doesn't fuss with his collars, so that's not a perspective I can provide in this review, if that's a concern of yours. But for the average dog owner looking for a nice, small and lightweight collar, I highly recommend giving this a try. For $12 including shipping, it was a worthwhile purchase for me.

High quality, attractive, lightweight and durable
This a lightweight but sturdy collar. No clips, it expands to slip on and then you tighten it back to comfort. My finicky dog barely notices it.The two points where adjustments are accomplished, the little bands are covered with protective black rubber, this is not shown in the current illustration. No metal part is exposed to the fur. Maybe someone got an earlier design without those tight protective sheaths.Since it is metal underneath, if you dog is a swimmer you might want to put s shot of WD 40 or linseed oil into those adjustment points before it gets wet, just a thought. This is a really nice and unique collar. Attractive, lightweight and secure. Easy to recommend.

A little thin but it works
It looks like it would be more comfortable for my dog to wear this collar which she does all the time. An once in a while when she breaks loose and chases a rabbit or deer, the name tag she wears on her collar is easily visible and helped a neighbor behind us bring her home.

Great for dog tags
We haven’t had this very long, but works great. It has lots of stretch ability. Easy to put on and with my dogs hair it’s much better than a thick collar. If we need a leash, we just put her harness on

There is no way to contact the company to get them to replace the collar I ordered which broke after only three weeks.

I bought this for my double-coated kelpie as her coat ...
Updated review: I am sorry to report that this collar came apart after 2 months of use. I was so happy with it up until this point, but it just came apart with no sign of wear. There was no way to fit the rope back into the slider and I had to throw the collar away. It seems to be that it just wasn't made well.Original review: I bought this for my double-coated kelpie as her coat on her neck was always broken and short where her collar would lay. This collar serves its function to hold her tags and causes no damage to her coat. Her coat is already beginning to fill in where her previous damage was!
