The structure of this particular Richardson hat is unlile anything I've ever seen - some kind of composite matetial, maybe. Whatever it is, it makes for the most prestinely shaped hat I've ever owned. The profile is high by today's standards, so if you are looking for a true vintage / retro aesthetic, this is the hat. My only critique of this hat is true of all Richardson hats: use better materials for the adjustable snaps / straps! Despite the cheap plastic snapback, this hat is worth all $12 I spent and more. I highly recommend it.

My hat of choice is the 112, I decided to take a chance and try something new. Definitely paid off, I really like this hat! Fits awesome! I do have a larger noggin but this fits freaking perfect!! And I am not normally a fan of flat bill caps but the 511 is great and the bill does form very easy without distorting the crown just in case you want to wear your cap like a normal human being, and not have it topple off your head in a light breeze. Great buy!

I buy these hats to attach leather patches I make with a laser and I hand sew them on it is really easy to do and holds up great

I made leather patches with my family farm’s logo on them and attached them to these Richardson hats. My son loves his and wears it everyday!
