Better than the regular white paper version
They are better than the white paper version because they save money on replacement. However, they don't allow for quite as much humidity in the room. Over all, a fair trade-off. I have two. I keep one in vinegar water in the plastic baggie they provide for cleaning while I use the other one. Lasts about 3 days before I have to swap it out. I do have to clean the deposits off the old one before putting it in the vinegar solution or it uses up the vinegar too fast. By cleaning them first, the vinegar lasts several weeks.

Works Great!
So far so good. Been using this for a little while now, and so far it seems like its actually working better than the OEM filters. The tank empties faster now which indicates to me that the water is actually being wicked up and evaporated away quicker. Which makes the machine all around more efficient since it doesn't need to run as long or as often. So theoretically im now saving a little on the power bill. I will update this review later if needed but so far I'm very pleased with this product.

Far better quality and value than OEM
I have two Honeywell Germ Free Cool Mist humidifiers and was replacing the filters on each of them about every two weeks, even after flipping the filters each day that I filled the tanks. Granted, the water in my city appears to be a little hard and I won’t use a water softener, but the OEM Honeywell filters either fell apart and by that I mean they began to shred and no longer stood up on their own within the first week, or they turned a hard brown color after no more than two weeks, so replacing them added up quickly to the tune of about $10 apiece as of 2.2019. It would have been cheaper to throw out a perfectly working humidifier and buy a new one every six months with how much I was investing in their OEM filters. Why doesn’t Honeywell make a filter like the Natural Breeze, so consumers aren’t shafted every time they buy a replacement filter? I don’t know either! So, onto my review of this filter. I DEFINITELY recommend the Natural Breeze from my own experience with it. Sturdy. Doesn’t crush down or fall apart like the OEM version. The only caveat I would add is that you need to follow the directions for their filters, just as you would for every other maker out there. Flip the filter daily or with each tank refill & once you notice ANY buildup on the filter, soak it overnight in white vinegar before the hard water crust gets a chance to take hold on the filter. I flipped the filter daily for 2 weeks and getting the hard water deposits off while soaking it in white vinegar was a little more difficult than when I was doing it once a week instead. Can’t say enough good things about this filter and so happy they offer an affordable alternative to the costly OEM filters I’ve been using for years now!

I like that I can clean thus filter easily and reuse ...
I live in an apartment and have incredibly hard water. I like that I can clean thus filter easily and reuse it. The old paper ones lasted less than two weeks. This one, with proper care, lasts all winter. I rinse it every few days and totally clean it weekly with a vinegar soak and then dishwashing liquid.Update- I thought this was working well, but switched back to paper. Paper is much better at wicking the water up. My humidity level is far more comfortable now that I've switched back to paper.

Incredible well designed and working filter... Glad I gave them a try...
I usually don't write reviews however I took the chance of buying these filters despite the lower star rating. After using them, I feel the few reviews that are here that are negative don't really do the product justice. I am new to using a humidifier in the house but I currently have the Hone ywell Germ Free Cool Mist humidifier. When I bought the humidifier I decided to get an Acu Rite electronic humidity monitor to tell me the humidity in the room. I can say that the stock filters lasted about 4 weeks or so running the unit every night for 8 hours. All of a sudden, when the temperature dropped and the heat started running, the humidifier was not able to keep up. Figuring that the filter was done, I checked the unit and the filter was dry. I decided to give these a try as if they last an entire season, then they pay for themselves. I can tell you that the humidifier is working incredibly well. In fact, it actually seems to be releasing humidity at a faster rate since I now have to fill the tank every night. With the paper filters, I might of had to fill the humidifier every three days. Also, the rate at which the humidity is rising is also faster as I can see this by the humidity monitor that I mentioned. I don't have experience cleaning these yet however I can tell you that they appear durable. When you first wet the filter, make sure to turn it over a few times, to allow the water to seep into the filter. Be sure to buy an electronic humidity monitor (they're like $10) as it will help you determine if it is doing the job.

Update: no good!
Product seems durable but does not wick up water as fast and thoroughly as my prior, less durable, filters did. I go through the reservoir in about 4 days, instead of 2. Update: I cleaned and stored the filter and dehumidifier over last winter and it now does not wick up water much at all ! It takes about a week to go through what used to take a day. Needless to say I’m ordering some of the old paper ones, since this is not usable and thus is not worth the extra money.

Best reusable filter!
I have used this product for over a year and have tried many others over time as well and this is still a winner. The ability to wash this filter is great. I've tried to wash other filters (the white ones) and they never lasted more than one wash. In addition, those other filters easily attracts mold more than this one.I don't mind that the material may not soak up as much water as the other filters because I tend to flip them whenever I have to refill the water reservoir. Therefore, the top which might have be dried is now soaking and the soaked/wet part is on top. It is one minor additional step in the upkeep but it's one I'm willing to make to keep reusing this filter instead of constantly buying new ones. It's great that it comes with the bag so that I can soak the filter in vinegar to help remove any mold or dirt that has accumulated. I usually soak it for a couple of days to loosen/remove mold or dust before I brush it a bit with toothbrush over water.Overall a great product.
