Poyet Motte Rivoli Solid 400GSM 100% Virgin Wool Blanket, Medium/Heavy Weight, Machine Washable (Blue/Natural Plaid, King Size)

This wool blanket is so soft and beautiful. I ordered the queen blue plaid. Although it is pretty enough to use as our bedspread, I did go ahead and put our spread on top of the blanket in order to keep it clean and to give an extra layer of protection. The blanket came out of the bag ready to use. These photos were taken less than 5 minutes after unpacking it. No smell, no wrinkles. Perfect. The box it came in was loosely taped and the zippered bag didn't seem airtight, so maybe they package it in a way that allows the blanket to breathe. I'm putting these on my wish AND gifting to others lists. We slept under this blanket for several nights before I wrote this review. It wasn't really cold yet, but I do think this kept us toasty. The red plaid twin would be perfect for our spare bed or a throw for Sunday Football watching. I want a plain, darker color to use for outdoor use as I remember we had an "Army Blanket" (all wool) that we always took to 4th of July. It never seemed to get dirty or mildew and magically never needed washing. After reading the attributes of wool, I understand why. We couldn't be happier.

I had been looking at this Poyet Motte Rivoli Solid 100% Virgin Wool Blanket for many weeks and compared is to other wool blankets and decided to purchase this blanket. I'm sure glad that I did. I got the full/queen size and it is BIG--more of a queen size which I really like. Plenty of overhand on each side and also on the foot end. It's 100% wool, it's kinda scratchy but I layer it between my flat sheet and top cover/bedspread. It's the mid-weight in warmth and it is WARM! Oh I was so nice and toasty warm. Why did I wait to long??? This blanket will keep me warm for a long time. It's a dense wool but not too bulky, the edging is done with satin(?) and it's a nice touch. I love it, very glad I finally got it.

Well worth the money – no smell, washed up great, no piling, not itchy, soft and comfortable. I’m recommending to a friend who are scared of wool that its itchy. Good quality wool is not itchy. This is quality wool. I’m very happy with the purchase.

This is exactly what you'd expect from a good-quality wool blanket. It keeps you warm when it's cold outside, yet you are not sweating when it gets warmer—the wool “breathes”. I'm sleeping much more comfortably now due to the natural thermoregulation of wool. There was no smell whatsoever. Highly recommended!

The red color is very warm tone. I like it. Machine hand (cold) washed and ended up with pills. Good thing I have pill cutter. I fan dry it from wash. dry clean will be better next time to avoid pilling. Found some wood or plant pieces. I have to pull them out. That is the only thing that brother me. The feel is softer than normal wool fiber. Maybe to do with the hairs on the surface. Not bad for the price plus tax. I am using it as layering for colder weather. Will see how warm it is for 400gm.

I truly think for the amazing quality, and being 100% wool, it is actually worth al least double the cost. Already have four of them in various colors and weight. I bought the queen size for $130 all taxes in, and I honestly can say that even if paid $300 I still would have thought I got a great deal. BTW, I hope the price doesn't change much because I'm telling all my friends and family to buy one. Thank you,

This is one product that I will give a perfect score too. It is big enough to cover our queen sized bed, though we had to buy a blanket for a king sized one, and since we have some other items on our beg it provides all the warm we need. There is nothing like getting into a bed that quickly warms up. As to the workmanship involved, this blanket is well thought out and the implementation is excellent. We are only glad we didn't get the heavy weight 500GSM one. It would have been to hot.

This is a great, great blanket. I live in the white mountains of NH, it is cold & this blanket keeps me warm and comfortable. I can tell that this is going to be my favorite.
