Perfect!! and exactly what i needed. Started softball again after about 20 years. bought a knew glove that was taking too long to break in. Softball is once a week and had nobody to play catch with. I threw myself pop ups with a softball which did nothing. But today i received this and threw the ball in the air and when it hit the glove felt like a screaming liner. Glove feels far more broken in already on the first day.

Nothing helps break your glove in better than this if you're trying to work in a glove before playing with it.

It's Awesome
Like all the other reviews, it's awesome. Yes, there's a funny smell at first, but who cares. Use to strengthen arm. Don't overdo. 15 feet and a wall is perfect. Haven't played catch with anyone else yet using this. It does build arm strength.

I used a weighted ball, a friend had, to warm up my arm for softball - loved it. Made the regular ball feel like a pingpong weighted ball! So I searched to find my own and got this.It is heavier then the one I used but works for just using it to move the OLD shoulder to loosen up. Throwing it - well not the normal distance. And being on the catching end is a bit scary. It helped break in a new glove I have.Made of dense rubber, bounces but not for kids play! It weighs one pound where as an official softball is between 6-7 oz. I now use it for a few throws close in, holding it and stretching out my shoulder and arm, then throwing a real ball. Works great!

Love my 11 inch weighted softball!
I coach 10U girls travel softball and am a believer in weighted balls (if the pitching mechanics are correct) so you don't injure your pitchers arms. This one is great for 10U and below because it's only 11 inches. It is durable, has good grip, and is the most realest feeling for game play scenario. Have them warm up arms first, then do about 25-40 pitches with this, and then you will notice a drastic change in their speed and power.

i purchased one for me and one for my teammate because she loved mine.
Using this is a must before a game. Its amazing. It strengthens your arm and makes your throws after use effortless. This is a must have for all softball players.
