So Refreshing!
I initially stayed far away from this. As i am a 80's kid and always loved rainbow brite. I just could not bear the thought of Rainbow being hijacked like far to many other great kids franchises. (She-Ra).But wow. This comic is so not that. The characters and story have been changed some, and also expanded, but in no way are they non kid-friendly or inappropriate. No grimdark trash, and no group politics.Rainbow Brite is a book that truly should be read by all her fans. Also by parents looking to give their kids something that is fun, and importantly allows them to enjoy it as a child.

normally I don’t like reboots, but…
This is so freaking cute! Updated smartly for a modern audience, the story is fresh and gives you insight into the characters and motivations.

Fun Sci Fi book
This is a fun sci fi book for little girls. We need more books like this! The plot could be worked on a little bit. The comic jumped from major pilot points a little bit. I have good eye sight, but I found the small print a little hard to read. I hope for there next comic, they have a bigger book or bigger font. Please keep making more. Thanks!

It's ok
It's ok for what it is but the marketing is misleading because at first it seems like the classic series but it's a reboot. It also uses a cal art style love or hate it. Also it has slow pacing to the point where it feels like padding. And as it stands it ends on a cliffhanger with no continuation in sight.

Hit in the Nostalgia. I see Stars!
A huge thank you to NetGalley, Jeremy Whitley, Brittney Williams, and Diamond Book Distributors for the opportunity to read Rainbow Brite (Vol. 1) in exchange for an honest review.I requested this because NOSTALGIA! Rainbow Brite was the show of my two-year-old days. I have seen a few Rainbow Brite merchandise items pop up here and there over the years, but recently I have seen it making a comeback, and this comic is perfect for fans of the original show or those new to the world of Rainbow Brite. While I found the beginning a bit slow for me, that is because I was itching to see Rainbow Brite make her appearance (as Rainbow Brite and not Wisp, of course). I love this new art style for the characters and the sprites. It was utterly exciting seeing two of her different outfits, seeing the beautiful artist rendition of the horse, Starlite, and the beauty and fun of the story has me eagerly awaiting the next volume.I also greatly enjoyed the cover variants with some of the original character art in comparison to what they look like now. As a long-time Rainbow Brite fan, I am extensively satisfied and excited about this comic!
