Honeywell6460S Ademco/Honeywell Premium Alpha Keypad, Silver/Black

I replaced an old keypad when we remodeled the kitchen. The old one looked very dated and, quite frankly, not very professional by today's standards. The new one matches the new titanium appliances, gives an up to date look and was easy to install.I did several upgrades to the honeywell alarm system, originally installed by a security monitoring company. Adding the network connection which provides real time alerts and information was the most valuable. Upgrading the old keypads, connecting via an app, disconnecting the old phone system, relocating / cleaning up the main panel and running some new sensors all were straightforward tasks for a mid-level do-it yourselfer.

Works on the Ademco Honeywell Panels. This one is just more of an aesthetically pleasing keypad versus the plain old white keypad. And an easy way for Ademco to get another $100 out of you. If they really wanted to please me, they would have included this keypad from the start. This is not a reflection of this particular seller. He is just selling you what Ademco didn't. It works great.

This is a really nice keypad for our bedroom. The display is dimly lit at night which makes it easy to see at a glance what the alarm status is. The keypad itself is not backlit until you press a key however. I knew that before I bought it and I'm fine with it, but FYI if you're thinking of buying one.
