I bought a new black turtle neck to wear as a base layer under sweaters. I wore the turtleneck and it is really soft and fits well too. I washed and dried it today. It looked smaller. So of course I look at the tag and it says not to put in dryer! I find this totally ridiculous. It is a turtle neck for goodness sake: not a cashmere sweater. Durable winter goods should have normal laundering. I will stick with the Amazon Basics feom now on.

This is not cotton, and as such does not absorb sweat. But it's well made, comfortable, and the neck is snug enough to stay up. The color in the beige/off white is more pinkish, which worked with my wardrobe, but might not work for you. I have washed and dried in the dryer. Be ready to hang it up right away or it will wrinkle badly.I ordered an X-large, and I am 170 lbs, 5'6". The sleeves are plenty long.

Ive been usung these inexpensive layers that are washable and easy towear undwr better sweaters andjackets I really like the fit nd the ease of maintenance.

It's super light weight. Didn't expect that.But the quality is there and colors run true.
