This cable works fine. You just have to be mindful when inserting and ejecting from your ipod. The cord is certainly long enough.

This cable works as advertised, but just holding it you can tell that it is really flimsy. The plastic Apple connector feels really light and as a result, after half day use the buttons that unhinge the connector broke while the cable was plugged in. Needless to say, the connector was stuck on my iPhone. We had to break the plastic part off and pinch on the bare connector to release. Another big problem is that the cable is very short, probably less than a foot long. So if your head unit has the connector on the back, you can't use this without an extension. Keep in mind you will need an extension for the USB as well as the AUX cable. Our connector was in the front of the head unit, and the cable was barely long enough to connect the iPhone and let it rest on the cup holder. Needless to say, I returned the item and am awaiting a refund. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of one was because it worked for a half day.
